Great game from a classic era

Andrew Booher, Amazon
20 January 2014
  • Summary: Throwback to the old dungeon crawl games (think the original Bard's Tale) with a lot of new mechanics, great replay value, and a solid story and environment,

Great!

StillWater, Amazon
21 May 2011
  • Summary: If you like this style of game (Might and Magic 1-9, Eye of the Beholder, other Wizardry games, Dark Spire) then try this one. This game has an interesting of eastern and western style RPGs. The drawn character art is gorgeous and frankly they are so attractive you'll look forward to seeing them. The Allied Actions system gives another level of complexity not found in a game like Dark Spire.

D&D on PS2

Judah, Amazon
16 February 2008
  • Summary: I felt like I was playing a Dungeons and Dragons Campaign instead of a video game. You have the traditional D&D classes, races, similar spells, and a huge whopping dungeon. Sure, you can't go anywhere else but the dungeon in the game, but there are multiple levels and town-affiliated quests. It has more than enough content.

Can't Stop Playing It, But Can't Stop Re-Starting It

Joshua C. Huddleston, Amazon
8 March 2004
  • Summary: I love this game. I love the mood of this game: spooky, foreboding. The gameplay style is interesting, and the way the customization of characters goes is something new. The story is original and kind of captivating. I pretty much love everything about this game. But, for some unexplained reason, I don't ever get incredibly far into this game.

No, don't even think about it

mdizzog, Amazon
12 October 2003
  • Summary: Don't plan on it. It is bad. You will be in a bland environment, with graphics made for the N64, then you will be in a story that doesn't involve you or anyone! Awesome! Not only is there no motivation, but there is a boring game! Take for example, save points. To save you have to leave, to leave you have to find an item or WALK back. When you learn about team attacks from this dude, he tells you all the different things then you try them.

One step up from the original series.

Michael Jordan, Amazon

  • Summary: This game raises the bar from the previous Wizardry games. If you enjoy adventuring and creating your own fighters, this is definatly the game.

Great Game if you have lots of time

Amazon
9 January 2003
  • Summary: I do think that this game is an incredible one, and a must have if you are looking for a huge, time consuming and envolving game. The graphics are ok, the music is fine too, the character portraits are hand drawn, so they are beautiful. But what will lure you to play this game, isn't the graphics, the sound, the music, the story, but gameplay.

Fun game

"rev_walrus", Amazon
7 January 2003
  • Summary: This is a pretty fun game, it kept me busy for quite some time. One reason i like this is the way you can build your character. You can chose from a few races, then depending on your race and alignment, you can choose your class. Another thing that sets it apart from other RPG's on the PS2 is how its in first person view. The battle system is brilliant and relys heavily on teamwork. A good RPG worth buying.
