Cool crossover, but still the same old game.

  • Summary: Warriors Orochi has an interesting plot. Two of the craziest known epic war games crossing over? Cool. Is it any different from past DW or SW games? No. Is it bad? No. Can it be fun? Sometimes. This game has an amazing roster of characters who I don't give a care about, their names run together, and the story is boring. The gameplay is the same, fun at first fighting so many dudes, but after about 20 minutes it's super repetitive.

Pretty good.

  • Summary: Warriors Orochi is pretty good. A lot of bother though. Once you complete the game, the game gets a bit boring because you go off killing like 500 men in the battlefield and you'll get tired of doing that over and over again. The challenge of the game isn't too hard. I mean it's way too easy once you get a character to level 99. Graphics/animation is very good. Out of the Samurai and Dynasty Warriors series this one has the best graphics. The length is ok.

  • Summary: so KEOI has come out with combi of two of it's biggest franchises i.e. dynasty and samurai warriors in this new tale which pits the might of warriors from the end of the han period/three kingdoms era of china with the warring states or "sengoku" period as it is known it japan . The story starts with that both of these time preiods have been twisted into another reality by the japanese mythological creature knon as orochi or the king of serpents to pit if himself or the...
  • Pros: if you like both franchises it's a chance for you to use your favourite characters from both series

A prime example of a game in Koei's 'Warriors' series

  • Summary: To begin, I would just like to say this is my own work which I have previously posted on the Love Film website, and I am now reproducing here for the benefit of other users who may wish to read it. I hope you find it useful :) Simply put, if you are a fan of Koei's 'Warrior's' games, then you will love this. If you've played a Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors game in the past, then you will know what to expect.
  • Pros: If you like simple gameplay that is not taxing in the slightest, then this is a perfect choice.
  • Cons: Incredibly lengthy, probably the longest out of all the Warriors titles.

Warriors Orochi (PS2): Resistance Is Feudal

tom1clare, Dooyoo
11 December 2007
  • Summary: You'd think that in an industry that has once again come to embrace simple gameplay, the Dynasty Warriors games would have garnered more acclaim than they have done. KOEI's modern take on an old formula is a shrewd one; stripped down to the bare bones, their games are little more than arcade button-bashers, but clever use of the hardware has allowed them to masquerade as grand, epic hack 'n' slash feasts.
  • Pros: Great presentation, clever storyline, loads of levels, new ideas are implemented well
  • Cons: Repetitive, similar to previous outings, terrible voice-acting
