Summary: I saw the movie Van Helsing quite a few years after it came out, and it turned out to be a big disappointment. Therefore, my expectations for this game were quite low. However, the game turned out to be better than I expected. The storyline is mediocre (like that of the movie), but other than that, the gameplay is entertaining.
Summary: I`m here to tell you about the van helsing video game. First off the graphics are pretty good for 6th generation consoles. The sound is great. The challenge is okay but could be a little harder. The only thing is it`s to short i beat it in three days you could probaly beat it in one day if played it for five hours. The story is good just like the movie about a monster hunter sent to Transylvania to kill dracula well theres more to it but I don`t want to spoil it for...
Summary: Van Helsing was a film, released in 2004 or 2003 , which detailed the story involving Van Helsing (but not that Van Helsing) fighting Dracula (but not that Dracula) and an army of minions, with a crossbow and some holy water and a comic relief monk. It was pretty cool, for its target audience, and absolutely awful for everyone else.
Pros: True to the film, cool (ableit copied) fight system
Excerpt: "...not making the werewolf that Van Helsing eventually becomes playable, which makes the end fight very boring to play and you just have to run around alot the so if you were going to buy the game for some dracula vs werewolf action, don't. Also, with only one playable character and few sub missions, the game has a very linear, one level after another, storyline. In short, only buy this game if you can get it very cheap. ...
Pros: Acceptable combat system, true to the movie .
Cons: Linear Storyline, no free roam, can't play as werewolf, only one playable character .
Summary: Having never watched the film I was a bit worried I would be at a disadvantage in playing this game however I need not have worried as the game was disappointedly easy to pick up and whilst it was certainly not the worst game that I have played neither was it the best and in the end it was a rather average offering. Taking on the role of Van Helsing you will encounter a fairly fast paced action game which does have some pretty good boss battles to keep it interesting.
Excerpt: "Anybody out there thinking of buying this game, back away now. This game is just a cheap and nasty cash in on the film of the same name. Tere is no need for a game like this to be produced now adays, especially with similar (but far superior) titles like Devil May Cry. So when history looks back on this game it will just be another statistic of all the games that failed to make the transaction from the big screen. Playability : Interesting at first, ...
Summary: The trend having video games come out with better products than the related movies continues. Van Helsin, Abraham of name, is one of the coolest characters to ever have populated horror and gothic novels. In this game he is less of a scholar and holy man and more of a "lethal weapon" against the un-dead. The game is a 3rd person shooter with many similarities to Devil May Cry (which was, as everybody knows, a great game).
Summary: this is a very good game. the creatures are cool and the wolf man is awsome. Except the gun play is bad when your fighting dwerge workers your gun keeps jumping to targets. The dodging stinks but if you time it just right you'll live.If you loose your hat you got to get it back. The coolest is the lighting gun. Well if you have fast fingers I would recomend it.
