In all this is a good but not a great game.

Summary: Of course this game is on what is now an old system, so it doesn't have the features we have come to expect. A well drawn game loses in its stilted side scroll operation. It does have a good battle sequence for its age, more fluid than ff x, and on a parrallel with ff x2but items fade out before...
Summary: This game was such a treasure to find with it's phenomonal music and graphics, engrossing gameplay, twisted plot, and the variety of characters possible to play. If anything, it has some of the best show of PS2 graphics I have seen-something to expect from a Square-Enix production.
Breathtaking visuals that help to keep you enthralled.

Summary: This game is a very good game, it's challenging enough to keep you playing and trying to accomplish everything there is to do, the game is played in a sidescrolling view all except for the battling sequences but over all my opinion of the game was very good and its a game i'd play through all over...
Well made but the downside is that it is in 2D and it can be a little hard

Summary: This is a very well made j-rpg,better tahn most so it's very beautiful. However i am not so thrilled abaout it being in 2D (battles in 3D)(you have to look at everything sideways). I have not played so far yet but i like it to where i'm at though.
Summary: Valkyrie Profile 2 was a game that caught me way off guard. I really had no idea what the gameplay would be like when I jumped into it, but I can say that my reaction was mostly positive. The game is very solid, offering both entertaining gameplay with very attractive visuals.
Summary: I first fell in love with the ps1 original Valkyrie profile, but when my parents were down on there luck they sold it because English versions are hard to come by, so when I heard they were coming out with a second one I was thrilled.
Summary: The graphics are out of this world great, great story line, lots of fun to play, the game is anemic in that it doesn't clearly state all objectives, and the only real fault that knocks this game down from excellent to good is that it is a half real time, half turn taking game.
Conclusion: Good review, I’m still waiting on my copy in the mail. I found your plot argument very interesting. Maybe it was the death of Aeris in final fantasy 7 or the idea of Yuna sacrificing herself to save Spira in 10 which put both games on my top favorite games of all time list.
Summary: I've been a big fan of Valkyrie Profile since PSOne version. Although the story of each hero soul is not clearly told in VP2 however the gameplay and the graphics are greatly improved, cool game and must be in collection if you are a big fan of VP series.
