Summary: When i first got unreal tournament, I was eager to pop in the CD. After popping in the CD I went straight to the multi-player to play with my brother. As with all non-internet multiplayer games, I was disappointed because when I hid somewhere with the sniper rifle, my brother just looked on my screen and he could see where i was. Not that bad of a draw back considering I chased him with the guided-missle from my redeemer a few times and that was very fun.
Summary: Lucky PS2 owners! You now have the opportunity to get hold of the best ever action computer game of any platform. My one proviso in this is that my main use of Unreal Tournament is for the single-player mode which will not really be a major feature on the PS2 incarnation. This is a shame but I can assure you that there will be enough joy to be gained from distintegrating your friends and family. Enjoy the carnage!
Summary: HISTORY: Since ID games invented this genre with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, there have been many entries into this market that have proven to be unworthy contenders. While most games had impressive graphics (for their time), they lack in playablity. For the longest time, one of games that stood out as achieving a balance between innovation and playability was Duke Nukem 3D.
Summary: Unreal Tournment for the PS2 would never beat the PC version and I never expected it to. But when I started playing I started to think that this game might at least match the PC version. I was right. This is a fun PS2 game. Using the B control setup it was easy to get into and a lot of fun. The fact that it has auto aim made it a lot better. The control pad is a lot more sloppy then a keyboard and mouse but I didn't miss it.
Summary: To start off, I'll say the graphics are by far the best I've seen out of any of the Playstation 2 launch titles, and I found the controls, on the dual-shock 2 were easy to master, but there was one thing about this title that I really didn't care for, which was its multiplayer mode. So far, there haven't been any really good multiplayer games that have appeared on this system.
I'm not one that's much for 1st person shooters but...

Summary: Wow I was impressed with this title when I rented it. I don't normally like 1st person shooters and that and haven't for some time, it's just been overdone. I have been playing pc games for over 10 years and still remember the original castle wolfenstein (pre-3d) and 1st person shooters are always the same it seems, lame or no story line and 'you've been sent here to kill all the mutants, good luck' kind of game play.
Summary: I just wish that there was more to the multiplayer. Capture the flag and deathmatch are great, in fact all I ever play on the PC is capture the flag, but it would be great to play assault or maybe domination every now and then. The maps they give for cap the flag multiplayer are all new ones.. which also kinda got me down. I would love to play facing worlds, eternal, or maybe even the last command (which isnt even single player in the game).
