Summary: this game, Turok evolution, is nt that good in my opinion. It is not well designed. There is nothing in this game that is realistic. The graphice are terrible, the weapons are terrible, the dinosaurs and animals are not realistic. The animals walk very weird. The lizzard people are terrible. You can just shoot them in the head and there head would fly off. The monkeys were not realistic at all. They would jump around and dance.
Summary: The Turok series has always underperformed in entertainment value and fun. Turok:Evolution continues this tradition of low expectations. The primary "fun" in this game is the gore and blood that occurs when you kill the baddies. This game has and will appeal to guys who are 15 and below. It has all the splat and gore that a splat and gore fan could want.
Summary: I am not a fan of first person shoot em up games, but after reading reviews of this one, I thought I'd give it a try... Mistake. It was a very beautiful game as far as graphics and scenery, but the play control was CRAZY DIFFICULT! Options weren't easily accessed, and jumping is near impossible! If you aren't a fan, but think you'll give it a try, don't waste your time. I took mine in to a trade in video game shop and got Arc The Lad, instead.
Summary: OK I am judging this game on the other Turok games. Turok one was a great one player game, Turok 2 was also a great one player game with decent(not fantastic) multi-player. This game is NOTHING like them at all. you spend WAY too many levels flying a stupid bird in meaningless missions that drag slowly by and all the levels are WAY too similar.
Summary: I love Turok; been playing them all since the first. But, they've all been going downhill since then and Evolution is the pinnacle of bad FPS. The story is boring. After a few chapters, I really didn't care what happened to Turok. The controls are incredibly slow and confusing. That combined with the LONG load-times makes for an unpleasant wait. The engine is exactly the same as the prior Turoks except with more polygons. What does that mean?

Excerpt: "Any fans of the original N64 versions of this game, stop reading now!! That includes me, but as I'm actually writing this review I'm going to need to continue I guess. For those who don't know the Turok series, it all began as one of the first games released on the N64, 'Turok - Dinosaur hunter'. Which certainly pushed the boundaries of graphics and gameplay at the time. Big weapons, huge levels, a thoroughly addictive 1st person shooter. On the ...
Summary: Turok Evolution looks like a very clean version of Turok 2 from the N64. However the game is terrible. The graphics and textures are poor (in today's terms). A new addition to the Turok games is the flying sections, however these are nothing special. They look like they were conceived, designed and programmed in a day. Also, and this is a major complaint with Turok Evolution, why oh why aren't there more controller options?
