Summary: I was taking a trip to New York for the first time. I've never been there but i was exploring on google maps, and I wanted a way to actually walk through the streets. The buildings aren't accurate but the streets are bang on, and so are the parks.
Summary: True crime new york is such a shameless clone of gta, that is just not done as well. You play an undercover cop, who has to infiltrate gangs etc, and build reputation. You can do questionable acts, like deal drugs, kill people, break laws etc, to gain criminal notority (but will make your cop buddies question your real motives, and make them more likely to "blow" your cover), or you can help the cops by stopping robberies and so on.
True Crime: New York - a true masterpiece in crime

Summary: Marcus Reed is the main character in the game and is part of many gang adventures which majorly risk his life. He I rescued by the NY police department and becomes a NY detective in which the game sets off. It is a very straightforward story line which is very addictive to follow. The original True crime: streets of LA was something of an ambitious game. The game has a perfectly mapped out layout of Los Angeles as you drive through it.
Pros: Captivating story line, smooth and easy game play, hand-to-hand combat and weopons

Cons: game can be slow at times to react to users instructions
Excerpt: "~ True Crime New York City ~ 1. Action/Adventure type of game 2. 18+ Age Restriction ~ My Reason for Buying The Game ~ I bought True Crime New York City purely because of the reason that i enjoyed the first series so much, so buying New York City was a must for me. ~ My Review of The Game Itself ~ True Crime New York City actually has a great story line, its not just one of them story lines where u get so lost and you don't understand ...
Pros: Great Detective, good cop/bad cop story line
Cons: Certain gliches can affect the gameplay and be quite annoying at times
Excerpt: "Well I liked playing it - it is one of very few games that held my attention for more than a few seconds... I think it's the freedom you have within the game to go anywhere within the seemingly limitless environment, interact with the characters, explore the shops and buy stuff, and if you get bored you can just knick someone's car (of which there are many, of many different types) and joyride through central park till the car blows up from hitting ...
Pros: Limitless environment for your character to freely explore
Excerpt: "This game can be described in a great deal of ways, however, none of them good. The controls are awkward, car handling is dreadful, Marcus: the main character can not run to save his life, the cut scenes are laughable, the weapons are stored in the trunk of your car, honestly who came up with that and to make it worse the gun aim is horrific. The one decent aspect of the game is the storyline. You play as Marcus Reed, a young gangster-turned-cop ...
