Summary: no matter how bad you think a game is. if you claim you are a never ending die hard fan of lara croft and her phenominal tomb raider series you will never diss her. obviously the game is not the best in the series but its still acceptable. and is only the first of 2 more games to come in a trilogy.
Summary: Before "Angel of Darkness" hit the shelves, I had played all of the Tomb Raider games to date. I enjoyed each one, but none of them compared, in any way, to the original game (in my opinion....though TR 2 came very close.) Now, enter "Angel of Darkness"...
Summary: Ok I just bought this game and have begun to play it. I will say this...it looks good! I am excited to really get into it and start to play. There are alot of things different... how you control laura is different. If you are an avid Tomb Raider player this will take some getting used to.
Summary: When you got the Tomb Raider Revelation, you were dissapointed. Same gameplay, same everything, except Lara's shinier butt, and humongous eyes. When you got Chronicles, you liked it a little better, but you wanted more. That MORE is in this game.
Summary: I was supposed to get this back in November. Then February. Then March. Then April. Now it's here. In June. 7 months after it was supposed to come out. Watch the previews of the game and it will say coming "This Winter." It sure feels hot out for winter.
Summary: So you just bought the first TR on PS2 what can you expect out of it? I will tell you. First off the graphics are definately improved by a lot. However as others have pointed out this is no breathtaking stuff. It is for modern standards graphically speaking, slightly above average.
Summary: How long have we waited for the next Tomb Raider? Inevitably, a game with that kind of buildup will seem a bit disappointing. However, In all but one or two categories, this game is excellent, and everything you want in a Tomb Raider.
Summary: I've played all of the Tomb Raider games but Chronicles. AOD should satisfy any fan, despite all of the criticism that you read. It takes a little while to get used to the looks and feel of the new game, which kicks into high gear once you get out of the Paris Ghetto.
Summary: Like most reviewers here... I have always been a big fan of Tomb Raider. Loved the first game, and still think TR2 is the best one yet. It took two and a half years for this new installment on Tomb Raider, and when I first began to play AOD, I was horrified.
Summary: Really 3-1/2 stars. So here we go... The 70% Good: Graphics are greatly improved and rival any game on PS2 platform. Lara looks great and let's be honest that's half the appeal. The Story is good and the characters are as believeable as a video game gets.
