Buggy or not, its still a Tomb Raider game :-)

Summary: The latest in the long line of Tomb Raider games, Angel of Darkness has a reputation that no game developer would be envious of producing.... that of a bug laden, uninspiring game. I'm not here to tell you that it's completely untrue, but it's certainly not the gospel either. Those familiar with the series since it's conception will attest that the games have always had awkward controls. Angel of Darkness is no exception.
Summary: Tomb Raider. Oh, what is there to say about Tomb Raider...? Well, let's start from the basics. Tomb Raider is the story about a girl and her guns, and she just so happens to raid tombs. Tomb Raider 1, 2, 3, Revelations, Chronicles, Unfinished Business, 2: Gold, The Lost Artifact, and the first game boy game all seemed to follow that story line. With that, Tomb Raider gained a wide amount of success. A true money maker, Lara Croft was.
Summary: In the game industry, when a game is tested, it goes in two phases: alpha and beta. Alpha stage is the very beginning of testing in which the game is still under development and there are still many things missing, things needed to be added, and numerous bugs still present in the game. Tomb Raider, AOD, was obviously still in alpha stage but was released anyway, probably to synch with the release of the film.
Summary: The first time I played this new revamped version of the great Tomb Raider series, I hated, hated, HATED the new controls! They were horrifically bad. This game feels like it wasn't even finished. You can't alter the controls set up (at least on the game console version), there are bugs GALORE, and some options to try and make the game more realistic like not being able to hang off ledges as long as you want were just lamer than lame.
Summary: Well. Ive beaten the game and ill tell you what I think. I did like the game. People complain and whine about the controls. I had no problem with the controls. Acctualy, they were quite easy to use. Lara is not that slow. C'mon, why would you want to zip through the game? You're not sonic the hedgehog. About the glitches: the game does slow down quite a bit at times, but its nothing to scream over. The camera has never been a problem for me.
Summary: I have been a Tomb Raider fan since day 1. I have enjoyed every game's playability and storyline. I couldn't wait until Tomb Raider came out on PS2. Then I played it. The graphics are great, better than any other TR. However, I was not happy with the controls and the automatic camera angles that constantly got in my way of jumps. Once you get to the Hall of Seasons stage, the game is essentially over.
