Too short!

S. Clarkson "People's Poet", amazon.co.uk
28 May 2013
  • Summary: The length was the only thing that lost this game a star. I've played various TR titles, never really in order, so I'm normally quite open-minded about what to expect from them: I appreciate that each one will have its own unique 'feel'. Legend's 'feel' was one of beauty. I adored the settings and the rich and varied environments available to explore. More of the same, please!

I love the model of Lara in these games the gameplay is awesome lot of shooting lot of puzzles to get your head around but that's what Lara Croft is all about.

Fun but not the best in the new line of installments of TR

Emin3m&babyChris, amazon.co.uk
8 March 2011
  • Summary: After playing Angel of darkness for the pc, i was put right off Tomb Raider and bitterly disapointed!! it wasnt until recently that i even knew they had remade TR and had already 3 new installments, Legend, Anniversary {best one in my opinion) and underworld, not to mention a film starring the new lara croft Alison Carroll, coming out next year, and TR underworld got remade from Alisons body and new moves.

Lara returns in this short but epic adventure.

YoshiChee..., Ciao
6 November 2010
  • Excerpt: "Lara Croft has had a tough time. She was the star of the revolutionary Tomb Raider. Seven years later, she was the hero of the glitchy hell that was The Angel of Darkness. After that game, the developers Core Design decided to hand over the series to another company. They gave it to Crystal Dynamics, developers of The Legacy of Kain series. Their first Tomb Raider game was Legend, released in 2006. It could have been good or bad. It was the former. Legend ...

Not too complex, but everything it does, it does very well.

S. Bouley "Derelict", Amazon
23 July 2010
  • Summary: Tomb Raider Legend was my first venture into the world of Lara Croft, and I think it was a good choice. I kind of knew what to expect in terms of game-play, but had no worries of being upset with seeing old tricks reused. I wasn't expecting much going into the game, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered how fun it really is. TR:L seems to be a game that focuses on keeping things simple, but fun.

More like the real thing again

R. DONLAN, amazon.co.uk
13 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought the Angel of Darkness, this put me off the 'franchise' that is Tomb raider for quite sometime, I was presuaded by the reviews on Amazon to give Legend a go and it greatly restored my faith, it was like the old days of the originals, exciting/frustrating but ultimately enjoyable, only criticism is that it could have been longer and some of the cinematics which you were not able to turn off but a good game 4/5

Lara is a Crystal of Dynamic Proportion

dan_penta..., Ciao
13 January 2009
  • Excerpt: "...from a next Gen outing. Lara Croft is a Legend herself so it's a fitting title. Critics were pleased with this game overall following the disappointing Angel of Darkness, but is this one game too many for Lara or is it the phoenix we've always been waiting for by rising from the ashes of obscurity? This seventh instalment of the franchise follows a much more personal story for our heroine as she is forced to relive the memories of her mother's ...
  • Pros: Engaging Storyline / Great Voice Acting / Improved Gameplay with varied combat

Tomb Raider - Legend...Groundbreaking edition.

J. Carson, amazon.co.uk
2 January 2009
  • Summary: I've been an avid Tomb Raider fan right from the beginning. However, I've not had a playstation for quite a while (don't ask!) and so treated myself to a PS3 recently, as well as the PS2 I never had. I've just finished playing Legend and I'm a bit surprised at some of the negative points raised here.

It "feels" better than TR:A

F. Dirkes "tailgunna", amazon.co.uk
15 February 2008
  • Summary: First off an admission: I'm not an old TR fan. I only started gaming after the PS2 came out. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of playing Lara, and my first experience, AoD, was disappointing, and I never finished the game. Still, I heard good things about Legend, and thought I'd give it a try. It was smoother and the controls were easier to manage, but I was distracted by other things and let it lie around for a while.
