What a disappointment

Summary: The original Tomb Raider is amongst my top 5 games of all time so you can imagine my excitement to discover that the game was being revamped for the modern market.I think I can safely say that 'Tomb Raider Anniversary' is one of the most disappointing games that I have ever played. Why?Simply because I found the controls to be annoying in the extreme.
Summary: Enough already with the same repeated puzzles, repeated moves in record time that keep you stuck in the game...and that camera view... aaagh m god...I am a huge fan of the TR series,a reasonable gamer and this game has not succeeded in me not wanting to see Underworld for nov 2008 but come on guys, keep us in there...
Summary: I'll keep it simple. I've been with Lara since the begining, so I am a vetran player. I am not crazy about these new commercialised TR games. The most annnoying and I really mean ANNOYING aspects of the games is this relentless grabbing, swinging, flipping rubbish. There are enough platform games out there already and whats all this fast moving all about? TR was never about speed! now its two steps and your across a cavern.
Summary: I bought this on the strength of Legend, which was great, however, despite the fantastic graphics, good puzzles and interesting bosses, this game is apt to be frustrating. The controls are Ok, but the jumping and swinging etc are very unforgiving. I lost most of my health packs messing about climbing and very few fighting bosses. There is no margin for error and I am approaching that trade-in moment...
Summary: This is a crushing disappointment. The original game was layed out perfectly, all these bozos had to do was polish the graphics and speed things up. Instead we get awful controls (Lara makes her own made up as to where she's jumping),needless obtuse puzzles in vague surroundings and a complete lack of character.
Summary: Tomb raider aniversary is not what it seems when you see the adverts on TV you think OMG i have to have this game they make it look so fantastic BUT and there is a big BUT its not good The controls are poor you want lara to jump left she jumps right and kills herself You have to have great patience to play tomb raider aniversary They have put to much time in to the graphics and not the game itself And dont get me started on the adrenaline roll this is a waste of time and...
Summary: (n.b. This review is best ignored by anyone under the age of 30). Although the graphics within the game are immesurabley superior to that of the original and the makers appear to have gone to great lengths to re-create the (frankly, "electric") atmosphere of the original "Tomb Raider" game, there is a HUGE problem with the end product (IMO).... It's turned into an excercise in "wrestling with plastic"!
