Summary: I'm surprised that this game has received so many negative reviews. It's the first Tomb Raider game that I've ever played and, having read the bad reviews, I was expecting it to be truly abysmal. Were people playing a different game to me?? The graphics are excellent! The gameplay is thoroughly enjoyable, with lots of puzzles, etc. and it's HUGE! Lara does take some getting used to in the way she moves but I've had no real difficulty, and I'm a complete novice.
A refreshing breath of air for the constant musty tombs...

Summary: Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, has a wonderful storyline that takes us away from the Tombs of ancient civilizations and brings us to the sinister underbelly of Lara's world that though she disdains, must experience nonetheless. Even Indiana Jones had to pull himself away from swashbuckling "archeology" to teach at a University and engage with people in a normal situation.
Summary: Overall, I really enjoy the game. I've been playing it since I got it in November, and I haven't gotten bored with it yet. But I usually play the game 8 or 10 hours a week, so I'm only 3/4 of the way through it. The first 3 weeks I started to think buying it was a mistake. The controls are hard to get used to, and are entirely too sensitive. But if you stick it out, get used to them, you'll really enjoy the game.
Summary: I am a diehard TR fan. I first became addicted to the series like junkies are addicted to cocaine back in 97. I was only five then, but my opinion is still credible, thank you very much! Then I couldn't play well, but enjoyed watching my dad. Since then, beating the games has been like a family tradition. By the time Chronicles arrived, I loved the game so much that I almost didn't want to admit that it slightly disappointed me.
Summary: I dont understand why everyone gave this game such a low score. This game was exactly like all the others only with better graphics and had more of a story than just "treasure hunting". Weapons and Health were always available and the lighting was great so I didnt have to use 900 flares to get through a cave. If your a TRUE Lara Croft fan you will enjoy playing this one.
Summary: I have always been a HUGE fan of TR games. In fact, I bought a playstation just to play her on my TV. Angle of Darkness is the worst game I have ever played. There is nothing worse to me than death by bad camera angles or by bad controls. She handles like a mac truck with volkswagon gears. When I find myself saving before every jump because you never know if you will actually get her to kick into gear fast enough to get to your destination, it's just plain frustrating.

Summary: I've played all of the Tomb Raider games but Chronicles. AOD should satisfy any fan, despite all of the criticism that you read. It takes a little while to get used to the looks and feel of the new game, which kicks into high gear once you get out of the Paris Ghetto. As for the controls, yes they do take a while to get used to, but you do get used to them.
Summary: Like most reviewers here... I have always been a big fan of Tomb Raider. Loved the first game, and still think TR2 is the best one yet. It took two and a half years for this new installment on Tomb Raider, and when I first began to play AOD, I was horrified. The new controls (analog movement) were incredibly frustrating. There were moments when Lara would slow to half the speed everytime she ran. And the worst part of all...
Summary: How long have we waited for the next Tomb Raider? Inevitably, a game with that kind of buildup will seem a bit disappointing. However, In all but one or two categories, this game is excellent, and everything you want in a Tomb Raider. There are some changes, particularly in the controls; if you're an experienced Tomb Raider they will feel funny at first, but you get used to them and you can do everything you used to be able to do with the analog stick.
Summary: Aside from some slow down in certain areas. This is simply a great Tomb Raider game. If you are a fan of the PS days. This is a sure fire bet 4 ya. And that is fromn Lara Croft's P.I.M.P. himself.
