Excerpt: Even at the beginning of Lara’s life, Tomb Raider was “love it or hate it”; for every ogling fan was a complaint about truck-like controls and slow gameplay. But most credible sources can tell you, Tomb Raider ’s first two incarnations exemplified how to do adventure games right. With levels intelligently developed around the simple - and limited - controls, and enemy encounters sparse, the experience was controlled and crafted...by design.
Excerpt: In the 90Ã¢â‚¬â„¢s we were used to the best economy ever in American history and could afford buying oh so many Tomb Raider sequels. Unfortunately, our sanity couldnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t afford it, so Eidos took a break. It took them until 2003 (nearly 3 years into the PS2Ã¢â‚¬â„¢s life) to finally release Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. The question that I would like answered is, why even release another Tomb Raider game if you canÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t make it good?
Conclusion: I could even nitpick and tell you about insignificant things like the unintentionally amusing ragdoll physics, enemies that die from gunshots but appear to have been hit by a rocket launcher, subtitles that don't keep up with the dialogue and at least one spelling mistake in the end credits, but I won't bother; these things just suggest that the game just hasn't been given the time or attention it deserved and needed.
Pros: Lara's jiggling boobs., Some nice graphics., -, Tomb Raider is back after nearly three years!, Some atmospheric sound and nice music.
Cons: Lara feels slow and clumsy., -, Tomb Raider is back., Frequent deaths mean you'll spend a lot of time watching loading screens., It feels untested and has a tombful of bugs and glitches., Often during the game we just want to shout at Core: Oi, Core, NO!, This is just NOT what Tomb Raider Game is supposed to be like.
Excerpt: Passata l'estate con le sue probabili e imprescindibili giorni di ferie (non per me), ecco tornare la solita routine: la scuola, il lavoro, l'autunno ormai alle porte e il minestrone della nonna. Ma settembre sarà ricordato anche per l'incredibile quantità di videogiochi in uscita in queste settimane.
