Summary: It's not even the same game as other Ghost Recon games. They should've just named it something else. You can't operate two teams or even control your squad. It might as well be a single shooter game. Also, when an area is cleared, unlimited enemy soldiers will spawn out of nowhere to ambush you, making it impossible to snipe attack or use any real tactics.
Summary: this is one of the worst war games I have ever played I bout this hooping for a good war game but this stinks. the graphics suck, the controls suck it just sucks. I manly didn't like it after on machine gun shot the guy dies it is so fake. and your health stinks to. I had to return it. the only thing good about it was the sound kinda. It is very hard and challenging actually TO challenging! If you like war games you won't even like this game.
Summary: Advanced Warfighter is a great improvement.. this game is almost horrible. Half the time you give your team a command, they just stand there and don't do it. Also, the enemy always seems to know exactly where you are, even through bushes and other objects. The shooting isn't the best, you don't always hit them even when you're aiming right at them and there's no reason you shouldn't have hit them.
Summary: If your looking for a great war game experience on the PS2 you definitely should not buy this game! Just forget it! I bought this game for a small price, but it still wasn't worth it. The graphics are very unrealistic, the sound was completely fake, and it was very glitchy. Now if you want boredom, go ahead and buy this. The part that I definitely hated the most was that whenever you fire over more than 3 shots, the screen becomes blury!
Summary: If anyone ever compares the Ghost Recon series to SOCOM they are completely insane. SOCOM is so far and away the better game, Ghost Recon 2 is so linear it forces you to play every mission the same way. Your teammates are useless and will actually grenade themselves more often than not. At least in SOCOM they would follow your orders once in awhile. Ghost Recon just has you in front all the time getting shot at while they wait behind.
Summary: I don't know what they did to the Ghosts, but I want my killers back. I was a HUGE fan of the original GR games for the PC, but I decided to give GR2 a try on the PS2. A typical Clancy squad-based shooter, a cross between Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon, but losing the good stuff from each. Missions are incredibly linear - one route to the objective, one way to get the job done, end of story.
Summary: Wow! This game looks great! When it comes out i've got to buy it! Yeah, the commericals made this game look way better than it is, it almost was made to look better than SOCOM II... Well, awhile back I rented this game to give it a shot. I absolutely hated this game fromt he start. Here are the reasons: Totally unacceptable loading times, they litterally take up to 2 or 3 minutes each time. The camera view: the angle you play your character at is horrible.
Summary: This game (...). Its very hard and the camera angles are annoying. I got to the 3rd level and then i gave up. The missions are long and you cant save. Even if you liked Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm or any other Tom Clancy game dont get this.
Summary: wow. this game is awful. i rented it to compare it to the xbox version. ooh. that wasn't a good idea. the graphics are nowhere as good, the gameplay is terrible. ps2 got gyped on the online play as well. no co-op. i don't know if either ubisoft is just lazy, or don't know how to utilize the ps2 hardware. i'd stay away from this game. i recommend ghost recon jungle storm. it's more fun & better online.
Summary: the game simply doesn't live up to it's prequel. You no longer have the option to switch between soliders, there is NO strategy as you now comand only one team, and can not order them around a map, only give them useless comands that you will hardly use. The maps are EXTREAMLY linear, and you can't choose you're own path, but go down the one the computer forces you to. there are fewer weapons to choose from (and most of them are very similar)...
