  • Summary: Although it's an older game, it still is a good game to play if you get bored enough. I prefer shooter games like this.

Killzone's Way Better!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Summary: jungle storm is too tactical. one shot and ur dead. I really like UT2k4, Call of Duty, bf:vietnam, etc so I cant say I loved this one. ( u cant even see ur gun!) But, it isn't much worse than those t rated 3rd person shooters (Jak 2, Rachet & Clank, etc.) so id give it credit.

This is not SOCOM!

  • Summary: As with ALL the Tom Clancy video games, once again, I am dissapointed...I have yet to play one of his games that's actually "great". The graphics are cheesy, gameplay is not very smooth, and for all the hype about these Ghost Recon games, they should be WAY better than what they really are. I mean, I can't help it when I keep comparing games like this to SOCOM Navy Seals, but, I gotta be honest here....These G.R. games are lame in comparison.

Good and Bad...read

  • Summary: This game has been reviewed pretty harshly by most players, probably because they're used to games like SOCOM which blow the competition away. For a, well, 'not SOCOM' game it actually stacks up pretty well. The graphics are okay, not outstanding, so probably a 7/10 rating. The game can get a little choppy at times as well, but it usually doesn't effect gameplay. The first player mode isn't too great, getting hit hard by the lack of difficulty throughout the missions.

Eagerly awaited, underwhelming, lazy followup

  • Summary: This is an example of a PC game given the short treatment on a console. The first Ghost Recon was a good game, overall. With a PC, you buy the game, then you buy the expansion packs, which basically provide your original game with more missions and a few enhancements. For the console, they have to put out a whole separate game. I must admit that this is a poor effort compared to the X Box version. Yes, the X Box is a better machine, specs-wise.

Not as good as Socom 2

Amazon
17 March 2004
  • Summary: Just got the game this morning. Played it for a few hours this afternoon with a friend. The split-screen co-op mode is cool if you're sharing a machine. Rainbox Six 3 (xbox) is better for co-op mode. Will have to see how RS3 is on PS2 in 2 weeks. There was a nice selection of weapons, but the game lacks the real-world functions of Socom 2 weapons. ie: M-16 automatic thing mentioned in the review below. The AI is kind of weak.

Not much of a difference..........

  • Summary: When I looked at this game for the first time, I said to myself, ok, its just the PC version of Island Thunder with a different title. Yes, it does have a new campaign, with some different weapons, but it is basiclly the same as Island Thunder, because the setting is still in Cuba, you still have the same uniforms, gun skins, etc., and you still have the same ol' gun sounds.
