Good, needs improvement

Mivec , GameStop
30 September 2014
  • Summary: YES DRIFTING in the game is difficult and maybe impossible at times. but the idea isn't bad. its a different concept and different style. I like the car choices and the gameplay now that im used to it. BUTTT it could have been better and the tuning aspect is still very confusing.

  • Summary: The detail on the cars is simply stunning, from the light reflections to the different aerodynamic features, simply amazing. The varied gameplay along with 400 opponents to beat makes this game a great buy. I'd recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the racing genre!

An Early Need for Speed Underground (Good Early)

Mr. Garry Brown "Garry", amazon.co.uk
7 November 2004
  • Summary: In a quick summary, the handling is not realistic in other words it is more arcade than simulation, but the game starts you with ten grand to buy and mod a car. You drive around real mapped tokyo highways and race LOTS of illegal street race gangs and individuals, the only shame about this game is...

  • Summary: Its different to most racers. You race againest people by flashing your headlights at them. This starts the race where you both attempt to out race the other in order to cause their energy to go down. Also crahses cause chunks of energy to go down so skill full driving is rewarded.

24 June 2001
  • Summary: Tokyo Extreme Racing is one of the best looking PS2 Racing games. There is a good variety of cars, and they all have nice details and their own characteristics. The goal of the game is to race other drivers, and try to earn money, so that you can eventually buy better and faster cars.
