Summary: The latest instalment in Codemasters Race Driver series appears to have upped its game somewhat boasting a huge amount of racing disciples. This has to be an improvement on the already fine series right? Well, maybe not... The graphics, sound and gameplay is generally everything we have learned to expect. The cut scenes are very impressive and give the racing a bit of a storyline, the graphics on track are very impressive and the sounds are all they should be.
Summary: I played and really enjoyed Toca's ps1 games and really got into the race driver games for PS2 however I have really struggled with this release and its all down to the handling. The cars brake systems are too slow and cumbersome and do not match the AI cars and so when you get passed the opening few races by more luck than judgement (eg bashing into cars to get round corners) you'll be faced with more time spinning off by other cars hitting you than anything else.
Excerpt: " As with all of us, we judge a game based on a previous game we have played and look for similar or more enjoyment. This is no PGR on any platform. The game give a varied selection of cars and tracks, not just road but rally, dirt buggys, racing trucks... to name a few. An excellent career mode should keep one entertained as well as unlocking new multiplayer bit and bobs. It is also worth noting that you can customise your car which adjusts the ...
Pros: Broad selection of tracks, decent framerate, lots to do
Cons: The driving itself is no breakthrough and lots more .
Loads of different racing, but not all of it is that good...

Summary: If variety is your thing and you like a bit of racing too, TOCA 3 is the game for you. You can race vehicles on road, off road, over road, under road and of all different shapes and sizes. But it's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the variety is great as you get to try your hand at lots of different styles of racing, but on the other it is a weakness as some of them are rubbish and you feel as though you are being forced to play through it in order to make...
Summary: I loooved GT4 and are a great fan of racing games, whnever a new one emerges from the factory I just must have it, and so it was the same with TOCA 3, but my love was soon to be let down. When I started playing it, I thought WOW, the graphics are ammazing, even better than GT4, and the sound was of the same quality and this lead to an immense realism, but unfortunately this was a lure. The whole game is the same thing.
Summary: Lots of variety in vehicles and tracks but spread a bit thinly for my liking. Handling and sound effects ok, and the graphics are good but havent moved on much since the last outing. Not a bad game.
