FUN AND EXCITING RACING SIM!!!
19 August 2007
Summary: If you enjoy NASCAR or F-1 / INDY CAR type racing games, you'll find a great deal in this game to like. This is a more realistic, racing sim than a power-sliding arcade racer like the BURNOUT or RIDGE RACER games. You'll actually need to brake and slow down to take many of the turns or else you'll wind up in the gravel and/or grass. No power-sliding here. And that's the kind of racing I love!
Summary: I'm 25, race go karts (2 stroke) and have a turbo mr2 and SR20 powered 240Z.. So i have racing experiance in life and in games. I have setup the new Logitech force feedback Pro wheel on a homemade dash and 240Z seat in my room. This setup on this game is SO awesome. Keep in mind i have never played this game on a joypad, only the wheel. I think the reasion a lot of people have bad things to say about this games "physics" is becuase you cannot feel G's in a game.
Summary: This game is better than the first. There are more classes, however they don't have the BTCC any more. They have more tracks, also there is a fantasy track that takes place in Scotland called Loch Rannoch; although there is a bid of bad language in this game, if you are a fan for motor sport and you love Touring Cars: THIS IS THE GAME 4 U!
Summary: Even after owning this game for so long I still pick it up every now and then and try to complete it. The reason why I cant is because this game is a joke and I find I have to keep myself entertained with other things just to find the will to finish a race the reasons being. Although the tracks are well planned and look good the cars don't.
Summary: This game was one I expected to be so much. I absolutely loved the originals, but this TOCA 2 has completely missed all the points that amde the originals so good. Pros Excellant Graphics Cons Boring storyline Poor, poor gameplay (only the most potent and persistent gamer can handle racing in the Koenig without getting stressed, it's awful) Considering GT4 is now out, I can't see Toca getting much attention.
Summary: What Gran Turismo does for Cars, Toca does for Race Tracks. It features dozens of the worlds best tracks from Brands Hatch to Laguna Seca to the mighty Bathurst in Australia. If GT is a game for Car fans, Toca is a game for Racing fans. The twenty car pack racing puts GT to shame, the same can be said for the excellent damage model, just today I flipped an Aston Martin DB9 & utterly wreaked the Body work.
Summary: This game is ace. Its got all the credentials of potentially one of the greatest racing games ever, with the wide variety of cars, circuits and competitions it could keep you occupied for weeks and even months. Overall this is a great game for race enthusiasts!
