TOCA Race Driver 2: The Ultimate Racing Simulator PS2 Review
31 May 2010
Excerpt: TOCA Race Driver 2 was first released on the Xbox and was applauded for its wide range of vehicular racing. Console Obsession for one loved the diversity of each drive and during the story mode we didn’t fear the unexpected but rather revelled in each and every new race. A PS2 port was inevitable, as if Codemasters’ could allow the Gran Turismo series to continue to dominate the simulation side of PS2 gaming.

Pros: Lovely graphics., Challenging handling., An engaging career mode with well-animated cut scenes.
Cons: No real feeling of speed., Handling can be unforgiving at times., The awful rally mode!
Summary: Racing games are always going to be about on the infamous Playstation 2 some of them are classics, some of them fall way short and can only be used as a coaster for your brew! Let's face it though getting everything spot on a Racing game is imperative as gamers these days demand quality game play, graphics that look more real than ever and sound effects that impersonate the different cars and now they want all of that to be online as well.
