Summary: The Game This first person shooter game has been building some heavy hype recently. Mostly because the publisher, Eidos, and developer, Free Radical, have been claiming that former Rare employees who worked on the award winning First Person Shooter, Goldeneye 007, are now working on this game. I saw other publications gave this game high scores as well, like Next Generation magazine giving it a perfect 5 stars. So will this game live up to all the hype surrounding it?
Excerpt: "Time Splitters 2 is a fast paced first person shooter. The game takes place in a space station that has been taken over by man’s worst enemy…the time splitters. They are attempting to wipe out the entire human race by traveling through time and destroying our ancestors using a time portal located on the space station. Summary: This game has repetetive mission objectives, nonmemorable music, complete lack of emphasis on story and even when the mission objectives are limited "find the parcel!" then NINE missions with three difficulty settings will only provide so much enjoyment. it's really only good as a timewaster.
Excerpt: Timesplitters is an FPS shooting game for the ps2. This is one of the best FPS game series for playing with friends around with friends, as there are many game modes to play, as well as a campaign. The campaign is a bit terrible. There is no plot, and all you have to do is pick up a package, and go to a drop zone. There is no explanation of whats in the package, or why you need to do this or anything like that.
Summary: It's been a while. This game is old now, you can count the pixels on the guns. And you know what? I don't care. Timesplitters is a great game to play with mates offline. Get yourself some snacks, drinks, and dive into run and gun action. Even though it shows it's age the play is still smooth and responsive, the action is fast and wild, and the weapons availible are wide and varied.
Summary: This may be an oldie, but it packs more fun and action then most modern shooters. Haveing only played Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters: Future Perfect, I was determined to play the original. Being very hard to find, I turned to Amazon to hunt down this PS2 classic. I didn't have to wait long either. It was in my mailbox within 4 days. As far as the game itself goes, don't expect anything to shiny (it is old).
Summary: This is the best game I have played in a long time. The story mode was fun, but the arcade mode was AMAZING! I don't usualy like multi player, but in Timesplitters, it was incredibly fun! The characters, the levels, the sound fx... Amazing...
