Summary: I have to admit i never played this in the arcade but boy I didnt know what I was missing!. This is an adrenalin junky's game. Fast gameplay, great sounds and action make you feel like your in the thick of it. I've heard many people compliain that it's too short. I think the best way to get the most enjoyment out of this game is to do what I did and set the options for HARD with 1 life only right from the start. Or, set it on VERY HARD and give yourself only 2 lives.
Summary: I didn't know there was a gun controller for the PS2 until I started searching around and found the GunCon2 packaged with this game. I couldn't imagine playing this without the gun controller, so you really should find the bundled package. Unfortunately, the unique controller is the only thing interesting about the game. It is fun, but by the time I was just getting into the game, it was over! There are only three levels, and some uninteresting standalone extra games.
Summary: It is very unfortunate that there are so few shooters out there on the modern video game platforms. Things have progressed a lot from the days of Duck Hunt, but I am pleased with the results. Time Crisis 2 is a great game. It is a lot like being in an interactive cop movie, and you get to shoot the bad guys. The graphics are pretty good, although not the top PS2 graphics by any means.
Summary: This game is a blast. The graphics, variety of game modes and the replay value is unusually high (there is a lot to unlock). The only thing that needs work is the length of the game b/c even w/the classic namco "beat the game several times to unlock everything" it's still kinda short and playing with 2 players is more frustrating than fun.
Summary: I had never heard of this until a few weeks ago, but I do like it very much even though it has minor flaws. Flaws: 1. Don't buy the game without the guncon2. It plays much better than the controller and you will miss out on the fun of the game. 2. It's somewhat short. In the next version they need to add more chapters, but some of the challenge areas and sub games almost make up for it. You can do the game on Easy, Hard and Very Hard to sharpen your skills. 3.
Summary: One-player mode is great, and the extra game options are fun as well. However attempting to play the two-player mode was difficult and distracting. The screen size shrunk so small to allow for split screen, that we couldn't see clearly enough to play - and we were playing on a 36 inch screen! All in all, for a one-player shooting game, it is challenging and the graphics are good.
Summary: i love amazon and i dont usually harbor any resentment against a company but this is a gun game WITHOUT THE GUN! even if you have a guncon you should get the new one because it's great. i had to send this back because there was not a product description and me being simple minded assumed it would have a gun with it. the gun is only 10 bucks extra at most retailers and yet again it's such a great peripheral that you should spring the extra dough for it.
Summary: first, you can use the old guncon but you might as well get the time crisis2/guncon2 package for just a little more... the guncon2 seems much more accurate, it's got a direction pad on the heel (where the hammer would be on a gun) and an A and B button on either side of the gun. the start and pause buttons are both located on the left (sorry, lefties). note that the time crisis2/guncon2 only comes with a standard hook up with video and left and right audio rca plugs.
Summary: Guncon2 works well, but with my big-screen, I have a hard time hitting guys in corners (unresponsive). I'm not sure if it is the angle I'm sitting at or what. I have to aim dead on and can't angle up into the corners. Fun game though. You don't have to think much and it is great for that. Will enjoy it for many months.
