This Game Blew My Mind
22 January 2004
Summary: I just picked up Tiger 2002 yesterday and I must say it well exceeded my expectations! This game is soooooo much fun. Unlike previous PGA installments this one has endless possiblilities and things to unlock. One cool tidbit is that when you hit a really really good drive he does a Happy Gilmore!!
Summary: I have to say that I am disappointed with this game. Let me state that golf games have always been my favorite, and the Hot Shots games are the best in my opinion. Anyways, the graphics are almost identical to last year's version, but the fairways and greens are much brighter.
Summary: Fans of the big-headed, no talent needed to play, Hot Shots Golf series can stop reading. Tiger Woods 2002 is not for you. TW2002 is what I like to call a *great* golf game. The engine has been revamped, and gone is the ... [bad] swing meter (FINALLY!).
Summary: My expectations for this game were huge. I can say they were definately met and exceeded in all areas. I am a golfer and believe that this is the truest to life golf game I have ever played. The game itself has tons to do and unlock. The course are modeled with amazing detail.
Summary: I am fairly new to the realm of PS2. Most of my game experience has been on the PC. I have spent many hours playing the series of Links games and EA's PGA Tour for the PC, which are really good golf simulation games. When TW 2002 came out, I had to try PS2's attempt at a golf game.
Summary: I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this game. Let me tell you, the game is GREAT and a lot of fun! The graphics are very detailed, i.e., blowing trees, water crashing onto sea cliffs, moving streams, etc... The game is easy to pick-up and play, yet challenging.
Summary: I've been playing the EA sports golf games since PGA tour ruled Sega Genesis. I must say they've finally come through since Tiger Woods name has adourned the box. Past installments have fallen short, whether it was the slow game play or the maddening lack of courses.
Summary: While I was waiting for PS version, I picked up the computer game. After playing the computer game I was expecting the PS version to just be so so. I could not have been more surprised the first time I played the PS version. The over all looks and feel of the game is perfect.
Summary: This is a very very good game. The graphics are amazing, and the game play is challenging. It takes practice, and if you don't concentrate, you can actually get the shanks! The best part is that you have to build your user profile to unlock new golfers and new courses.
