Summary: The ps2 version of the Sims just didn't meet my expectations. The story mode was entertaining at first but quickly became boring and repetitive. What bothered me is that there is no real plot in story mode. It's just the sim fulfilling tasks in order to move from house to house. Those tasks are almost always the same (get promoted, throw parties) with some variations.
Summary: this game is sooo stupid because it has the worst graphics ever but there are some good qualities about this game they are that there is a cool two players games. wait correction that is the only good quality. trust me i myself own this game but 4 xbox DONT BUY BORROW RENT DONT BUY GET OURSELF frustrated some other way that does not cost money!!!
Summary: Introduction: The anticipation for this game was building up inside me i get it and >:o. I was expecting this to be the best sims ever. I was shot down... Gameplay 1/10 I was very dissapoited in the way you move your sim. I was hoping you would actually move him with the left anaolg stick, having control over his whole body. Not like in the computer game. Also... in the computer game there are three speed options. 1, 2 and 3.
Summary: I bought this game as soon as it came out, as I'm addicted to the computer Sims. It's nothing like the original Sims. The basic premise is the same, but the controls are horrible! One of the best parts of the game is to build your own house for your Sims. No matter how I tried it, I couldn't get it to happen. I would recommend avoiding this game at all costs. There's a good reason why so many people are selling this game in the Amazon.Com marketplace.
Summary: I was really excited about the game coming out for PS2, but when I got it, I was very dissapointed. It's not really like the PC game, it's somewhat confusing, and it is harder to control. It isn't a bad game, just not nearly as good as the computer version.
Summary: PRO: The user's agency not only draws us deeper in the game, but also initially attracts us to it. The Sims capitalizes on the human desire to witness immediate tangible results and create the best life for ourselves. CON: I don't want to play the game enough to memorize the commands simply because there is too much to remember, and I don't have the time. I could never become immersed in the game. PRO: I felt as if I was controlling a world.
Summary: To start, I am a huge Sims fan. I hve all the expansion pacs and am constantly checking te website to see what new things are happening in the Sims universe. So when the PS2 version of the hit PC game came out, I rushed to buy it...bad move. To begin with, the level-based gameplay is not all its cracked upto be. What's great about the Sims is its openess - you, the player, choose what your goals are, be they loads of money, love, oroverall succes.
Summary: It's possible that will like this game if you have never ever played the PC version. Your options are very limited and the 2 player mode is just plain awful. I was very very disappointed since I adored the PC version. Maybe I'll give bustin' out a try. Maybe not.
Excerpt: "...a great lovers of the sims on pc. (we play most days ) my children and I bought the PS2 version with great joy. however on playing this game we found the game play very restricting and slow moving. The sims is very structured leaving very little free will involved for the player. I found the constant flashing up of the Goal achived screen very off putting and this again slowed the game down. The player has no chose in were they live or move to this ...
