Summary: I recently bought The Sims 2 Castaway ps2, and It was fun... for about 30 minutes. Now, I'm a big Sim fan, and have beat many of the their games, but this one just doesn't measure up the the older versions. Yes, it is different, and has alot of interesting things to do, but it gets pretty boring, especially since there is no 2 player. It's all you, all alone, and it will lose your interest quickly.
Summary: I had this game on Nintendo and loved it so bought it on ps2 as well, however I was quite disappointed. The graphics aren't that great, there are lots of loading times that get annoying and there isn't much socialising or general actions you can make your sim do. I wouldn't buy this.
Conclusion: Got this at x-mas but was a little dissapointed coz of the gameplay and the fact u get washed away from all your freinds and hav to find them, yet, you cant walk anywhere. The game goes really slow and keeps freezing every 5 seconds and every time you press an action.
Conclusion: this isnt what i thought i would be like when i brought the game. i expected it to be like making houses on a beach but you created your sim as normal like on the rest of the sims 1 + 2 games and when you start your wondering around not knowing where to go. Im thinking of returning this game! Save yourself the money and buy another game...just not this one!
Summary: This game probably sells really well what with the concept of surviving on a desert island, it has a good challenge factor. In fact I can't really fault the underlying system of goals to be accomplished and things that are unlocked as rewards for accomplishing those goals. However, there are some problems realising this on the Playstation 2. Frankly if I'd known about the long loading times in advance I would have asked my folks to buy me soething else for Christmas.
