The Sims 2

GamesRadar

  • Excerpt: The Sims 2 is as close as you can come (in this country, anyway) to keeping people as pets. In the sequel to the biggest PC hit of the last five years, you manage every aspect of a virtual family's intricately detailed lives as they eat, sleep, go to work, make friends with the neighbors, fall in...
  • Pros: Charming, amusing and endearing, The aspiration and fear systems, Design and decorate your Sims' home
  • Cons: One body fits all, Low-end PCs will chug at times, Whimsical music may inspire homicide

The Sims 2 Review

VideoGamer.com
16 November 2006
  • Excerpt: The Sims is a behemoth in the PC gaming world. The series has sold copies by the truck load for years now, and The Sims 2 can now be experienced on consoles. I'll admit to being more than a little down on the game a few days ago, but after a brief conversation with an old colleague I felt I should...

The Sims 2 - PS2

Pocket Lint
22 December 2005
  • Conclusion: I don’t really know where to go with this review; if you’ve never ever seen the Sims before, there might be a modicum of interest based on the game’s format. However, I’d suggest the best approach is to buy a PC and play that version as the control issues are ridiculous on the PS2.
  • Pros: Loading times kept down
  • Cons: Poor control, lack of features

The Sims 2 PS2 Review

DarkZero
18 November 2005
  • Conclusion: For the majority of time this was a game that I quite enjoyed. The vast array of different things you can do with your sim is wonderful, from making them into a hippy that loves the world to creating a red-blooded woman that likes to sleep about, it’s all there and then some.

The Sims 2 Review

Eurogamer
17 November 2005
  • Conclusion: Choose to ignore these (and other) oversights, persevere with the drudgery of the maintenance aspect (the bit where, in a more conventional RPG/god game, you'd actually get to do stuff , like solve puzzles or kill things), and there's a lengthy itinerary of tasks to discover and perform - something...

The Sims 2 University Review

Eurogamer
21 March 2005
  • Conclusion: While the new equipment and options integrates well with Sims 2 and one of four new specialist career paths can be opened up by graduating, Sims 2 University seems best thought of as a unique object.
