  • Excerpt: It’s difficult to remember a time when The Simpsons weren’t around. Since their debut on the Tracy Ullman Show, those yellow people from Springfield have gone from strength to strength. How many TV shows manage a run of more than five years, let alone fourteen’ How many comedians manage to retain credibility once they’ve done a commercial’ The Simpsons is still critically acclaimed despite spawning a merchandising empire that emulates every company the show apes.

  • Excerpt: Another reason the game doesn’t flow is the difficulty level - it has more ups and downs than the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Some missions are over way too quickly and left me begging for more, while others had me begging the game to stop with the torture. For those with a little less patience, the game actually gives you an out by allowing you to skip missions after failing them a couple of times, but if you ask me, it is inexcusable that they chose to add a skip...

  • Excerpt: The Simpson family does GTA 3. Well not exactly, but that's a good place to start. The witty comedy and beloved characters of televisions greatest show meet the interactivity and freedom of a living, adventure filled Springfield. A must have for all fans and for those looking for the GTA experience minus the prostitute murdering, The Simpsons: Hit & Run is the real deal.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run

  • Excerpt: I'm sure every review for Hit & Run has started off with some comment about previous Simpsons games. The fact is, they were crap, so much so that I'm tempted to use a slightly stronger expletive. All you need know, really, is that you should never, ever buy a Simpsons game - save for this one.

  • Excerpt: When I think of the Simpsons, I think mischief, comedy, entertainment, and fun. Bart causes trouble, Homer says something stupid, Ralph picks his nose, Barney gets drunk, and Officer Wiggins gives law enforcement a new meaning. All of these factors are a big part of what makes the show great and one of the longest running sitcoms on primetime television. But will they hold their ground in a video game? Game developer Radical decided to give it a shot.

  • Excerpt: Homer was lounging on his couch one day when he woke up to find some huge robotic wasp thing looking at him. Then one could hear a loud *WHACK*, and Homer went back to sleep. It seems that during the night a whole bunch of these robotic wasp things has been released upon the town of Springfield, filming everyone and everything – from people sleeping on their couch to people doing more intimate things on their couch.
