The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night

Digital Chumps
27 June 2008
  • Conclusion: There's a moment in an episode of The Simpsons where Bart cracks open the latest Where's Waldo book to find Waldo standing by himself in plain sight. "He's just not trying anymore," says a disappointed Bart. Such is the case with Spyro. Eternal Night is a well intentioned and good hearted adventure, but part of me can't help but feel Krome is holding something back.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night

Playstation Illustrated

  • Excerpt: The adventures of the cute purple dragon continue in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night . I'd have to say that this is the prettiest of the Spyro games yet. With every new game, they've improved the graphics and this one is no exception. The cut scenes have also gotten longer and more detailed. The introduction at the beginning of Eternal Night is just beautiful, definitely worth watching more than once.

  • Conclusion: The Wii version allows you to swing the Wii Remote around for attacks and has some other basic motion controls, though using the Wii Remote's control pad to control the camera is less intuitive than the more standard analog-stick controls on the PS2. Otherwise, both versions are essentially the same, but only die-hard Spyro fans are likely to elicit much enjoyment from either of them. This dragon is not a boy anymore--yet not a grown-up either.
  • Pros: Special attacks and slow motion sometimes come together to make for fun moments, Lovely soundtrack.
  • Cons: Constant knockback attacks make the difficulty frustratingly inconsistent, Awkward controls, Slow-motion mechanic is unnecessary and improperly balanced.

  • Summary: Wie heißt es so schön?
  • Pros: Charmanter Spyro, Imposante Effekte, Ordentlicher Sound…
  • Cons: …mit Aussetzern, Geradliniger Spielablauf, Steuerung zu hakelig, Nervige Kameraführung, Frustreiche Prügeleien

The Legend of Spyro : The Eternal Night

JeuxVideo.fr
23 February 2008
