Summary: Since 10 years ago I'm KOF's fan. My favorite game of this series is 98 version. First time I played got confused by the fact that soundtracks in SNK old mode were different that the original, later realized that in new mode original music came back, also realized that background places were improved very well. I'm very happy with this game and took me back 10 years ago.
Summary: what can i say about this game. it good classic game. so many characters and you well never get bored with this game. it was fast shipping when i got it. you well not be disappointment by this. plus it got the original kings of figthers 98 as well so you got 2 kings of fighters in 1 disc. don't pass on this.
Summary: KoF '98 Ultimate Match is a fantastic purchase for anyone still into fighters on the PS2. I've been playing this game non-stop with my friends since receiving the game. It's actually taken a lot of my time away from Street Fighter 4. The additional characters (Geese! and more) really make an old game feel awesome. You can turn on/off 3-D backgrounds, but I'd leave them on--they look great. One thing to do as soon as you receive the game: turn off the soft focus feature.
Summary: A great classic made even better. The game is remastered with cool 3d backgrounds, and music with balanced gameplay. A top notch roaster of fighters to choose from makes this game a must have. Now, lets hope King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited gets a release here in the U.S.
Summary: I'm really new to the KOF universe and I have to say that this is a great game! A little background from me. Ok, so as I was growing up, I was mainly exposed to the SF franchise. I played a few Fatal Fury games and Samurai Shodown but not much else. I decided to try KOF recently and was delighted! Sure, I noticed less frame counts. Weak and strong buttons for punch and kick were only available. Sprites could also be improved.
Summary: King of Fighters has always been a game whose technical features rival that of Street Fighter for years. It's unfortunate that people will often just set this game aside due to it's differences (Running, Rolling, Knockback, etc). Anyways, probably the best KOF series to date. Though there are some character balancing issues (especially with bosses), but you wouldn't need to choose them anyways. Worth a buy for any fighting game fan.
Summary: This is a great game to purchase, there is so much extra content of this remake of the original KOF 98. You can play the original arcade version of the game, there is more characters and variations in gameplay for some characters, there is also a new mode where you can mix and match styles from the advance and extra styles of gameplay, meaning that you can have the rolling move from the advance mode and be able to charge your super special move from the extra mode .The...
Summary: 1998: SNK releases King of Fighters 98: The Slugfest for the Neo*Geo. The 5th game in the series & has been a fan favorite since. 2008: SNK Playmore (successor company to SNK) releases King of Fighters 98: The Ultimate Match for the Taito Type X (arcade hardware). A PS2 version was released months later in Japan. And now it's finally released in North America. So what's the different between this & the original game (which is in here as well)?
Summary: SNK Playmore's stream of budget-priced PS2 games continues with King of Fighters 98: Ultimate Match; which finds SNK's most popular franchise adding some new elements to an old, but great, installment of the series. Featuring the largest roster to hit the KOF series, King of Fighters 98 plays as well as just about any other KOF game, and features a deep and surprisingly balanced fighting engine and enough customization options to keep you busy for a while.
