Summary: I have never seen the move Godfather, but for some reason I really wanted to buy this game. The game is awesome. Its very interactive and fun to play. It reminds me a lot of GTA, but better in its own way. I like the different things you can do, like: Extorting business, driving any vehicle, and getting chased by the cops or another family. If you like GTA then you will love this game!
Excerpt: The Godfather is a third-person shooter game for the Playstation 2 developed in 2006 by EA games. It is based on the 1972 film of the same name and features many characters and events from the film, however it is not a direct adaptation since there are some missions which do not feature in the film at all. You play the role of Aldo Trapani, whose father had ties to the Corleone Mafia family led by patriarch Vito Corleone.
Excerpt: If there's any film adaptation that I really wanted to be good, and one that also seemed immensely challenging to get right, it's The Godfather. Borrowing a lot from the Grand Theft Auto games, but also having enough style and similarities to the film series to keep fans in check, this is a surprisingly fun game that's got enough action and adventure to please just about everyone.
Excerpt: The Godfather is an action game developed by EA games for the Playstation 2. The Godfather puts you into the role of Aldo Tripani, his father is gunned down when he is a boy and the Corleone family take you in, you start off low on the food chain but as the game progresses you can earn the title of Don of New York City.
a cracking game for godfather fans and non-fans alike.

Excerpt: The Godfather game was awaited with bated breath by many gaming fans, and polarised the entire gaming community. Many eagerly anticipated the game, very keen indeed to see just how well the game would turn out, and how successfully it would manage to immerse the player in the rich and vibrant world of the Godfather film.
Excerpt: Have you ever wanted to be part of the Godfather's family, well now is your change in the long awaited Godfather game. I feel that Godfather fans like myself will love this game, on the other hand if you were not a fan of the Godfather movies (how could you not be, they are legendary : ), then you will find this game decent and I guess a worse version of the Grand Theft Auto Series.
Excerpt: When i think... truly great playstation 2 gmae, a few games echo through my mind, obvious choices such as the GTA series, and other such titles, but i do beleive that 'The Godfather' will firmly cement it's self in the hall of fame of playstation 2 gaming. Using a revolutionary new system, the 'Blackhand' , you are free to judge yourself how hard to hit enemies. This is a useful system, as in this game you have to extort businesses to earn money.
Pros: Superb diversity in missions, great graphics, great bonus missions .
Excerpt: Well its taken ages to bring out a good movie tie in game althought this one has come a few years down the line. If your a fan of the Grand Theft Auto games then you are going to enjoy this, if your a fan of The Godfather Part One then this game should be quite interesting to play because this game has alot of aspects of the movie bult in.
Excerpt: I thought I would buy myself a PS2 game for a change so when I took my 13 year old boy into Gamestation I chose The Godfather in the hope that it would give me just as much enjoyment as the film did all those years ago and I must say I was not let down by this game title at all. If I was to compare this title to another game then I would have to say it is a much more structured version of Grand Theft Auto as the storyline is much easier to follow and the game play is...
Excerpt: I found the game to be similar to \'Grand Theft Auto (GTA)\' as you go around stealing cars, and following orders to move through the game. In \'The Godfather\' you have to go to business and extort them. You are part of the Corleone family and there are 4 other rival families. It is set in New York, with 5 parts to it: Brooklyn, Little Italy, New Jersey, Midtown and Hell\'s Kitchen.
