Summary: I`ll have to be honest, I haven`t played this game yet, but I do remember playing the 1st game "The Getaway" a long time ago which was a very good game, I did enjoy every minute I played that one, a friend of mine did not like the game and passed on to me, I finished the game in a couple of days how good it was and just couldn`t stop playing it, and bought it from my friend for merely 5euros in almost like new condition.
Summary: Is it just me or is there not any more of the getaway games as the first one was great but this one was ok but not as good as the first one but it was still good enough to play though i do hope there will be another one of these soon on ps3 also wasn't they going to do a film out of this game, what happened to that?
Summary: Great game 9/10 Set in London with licensed cars (real cars) like mercedes benz, citroen, renault ect all of witch are fully driveable. Very realistic can go site seeing to places like Big Ben, London eye, Buckingham palece ect. Good realisticish storyline and towards the end different choices effect the final outcome.
Summary: I liked the original but found it a bit too hard thanks to dodgy controls and responsiveness. This has been fixed in this sequel, which seems to concentrate more on the 3rd person shooting than the driving. Graphics are good but no great improvement on the original. The only problem with this game is it's relatively short, and leaves you wanting more. All in all, if you liked the first, but found it a bit too hard you'll love this.
Excerpt: "...you have to do missions. The missions are quite hard but that is good. What good would a game be if it was easy. ~~~About The Getaway-Black Monday~~~ You play as a man called Sergeant Mitchell. Its his first shift back on the MOCS (Met's Organised Crime Squad) after he got suspended for two years. A dawn raid on a Council Estate turning in to a major bloodbath triggering a chain of major events which will mark the last 48 hours of his career ...
Pros: Great sound, Challenging unlike most games .
Summary: I thought this games was pretty good and the graphics were tight but the controls were a bit hard to get used to, especialy sam.I enjoyed playing as the cop running aruond buildings with a flipin lethal macine gun and shoutin at peeps to drop their wepons and playin as eddie wen u can grab civilians but sams levels realy peed me off. she is so hard to control and has no weapons wich doesnt suit my blast their ass style of play.
Excerpt: "I eagerly anticipated the follow up to Team Soho's 2002 smash hit 'The Getaway', but now after completing the game with minimal effort I feel disappointed and a little bit cheated. This time around you play three characters rather than just two like in the original. However, it doesn't work particularly well. Unlike in the original where you played Mark for exactly half the game while catching brief glimpses of Frank before swapping over and seeing ...
Pros: map, 360 degree view
Cons: short, characters are not as good as in the original
Excerpt: "Despite the anticipation over the original game, The Getaway, the title didn't quite live up to gamer's expectations with its awkward controls, numerous bugs and unfair difficulty and so it comes as no surprise then that the arrival of the second game in the series, The Getaway: Black Monday has been met with a fairly low key response. Some people may blame this on the recent releases of some of the biggest games in the industry including Halo 2 and ...
