SING UNTIL YOUR A STAR
10 January 2012
Excerpt: "...will be aware of the Singstar game - too many games have taken over such as 'Just Dance'. Back in the old days when we all owned a Playstation 2 (a slim one if you were lucky enough!) owned or wanted to own singstar. It was a must have game when I was younger and if you didn't have it - you simply weren't cool. We still bring this out when we have our pre-lashing sessions and it gives us endless giggles. It turns into a game of fun not point scoring ...
Summary: I don't think many youngsters nowadays will be aware of the Singstar game - too many games have taken over such as 'Just Dance'.
Summary: Thought as I have reviewed most of the Singstar games in my collection I may as well review the rest and this one is the original. The singstar games are designed to get those vocal chords working singing along to numerous tracks and getting scored on how good (or bad lol) that you are. All you need is a playstation 2, the singstar game and 2 singstar microphones which you attach using a USB converter.
Pros: Lots of great tracks to enjoy on your own or with friends
Excerpt: "...and you don't yet have Singstar then get onto Amazon and buy this game, because it will provide you with endless hours of amusement! When you purchase his particular game comes on Amazon it comes without microphones and it is £9.99. Microphones can be picked up for around £16 and you will be able to use then with the whole Singstar disk collection. I first started playing this game (that resembles karaoke) with my university friends. It become ...
Summary: Singstar is a staple in most party sessions I've been to, ranging from pre-drinks before going out to a full on, night long session with the game. I'll be reviewing the game as a whole rather than the individual sets that you can get, as I haven't played them all. I haven't played it on the PS3, only on the PS2, so I don't know if the game play differs greatly or whether they're all about the same.
Summary: Singstar was the first in what is now a large series of games for PS2. At the time of its release singstar was rather different to the other games out there, in that instead of the standard PS2 controller a microphone was used. Singstar is a game for up to eight people that includes several different modes of gameplay. You can play solo, sing a duet, compete in a vocal battle, build a singing career in the career mode or party as you play in teams.
Summary: What an invention, competitive kareoke in the comfort of your own home, fantastic. Pop the disc in, plug in the microphones, select a track and sing your heart out. Simple? Yes, oh but how much fun! Pick a song from a list of tracks, it doesnt matter which, there are varying skill levels so as to make you feel a bit more commfortable when singing the power ballads, and wow your friends as you earn that king of pop status.
Summary: My flatmate bought this specifically for when we have friends round on a friday night before we go out, we now have pretty much every disk there is and it always gets us ready for hitting the town. It doesn't matter if it's just the guys that are round as there is the competition element to it to keep us wanting to play or if you have a mixed bunch of people, everyone will eventually get up and sing and whats more enjoy it.
Summary: I love this game!!! What could be better than to turn your playstation 2 into a karoke machine. We bought the pack thats comes with the two mics awell which costs about £35.99. Its great for partys and girlie nights in with a bottle of wine its been a hit every time we have got it out. Its so simple to get started simply plug the mics into a usb port, out the game in, enter your name and pick your song and your away.
Pros: great laugh
Cons: your neighbours might not appreciate it as much as you
Summary: Think you can sing, why not test yourself against what your playstation thinks. This is what happened when this game was released for the playstation 2 and still available for £14.44 on amazon you can still easily try this. Singstar has gone to sell thousands of copies and so many different versions have come out after this such as anthems and rock ballads.
