Summary: First of all never read the book or watched the movie. What made me get this game is for the puzzles (I like games with puzzles) and there are LOTS of puzzles in The Da Vinci Code. But for the gameplay itself. The graphics are OK. The music repeats over and over again thru out the levels. The fighting is SO lame (but easy). And the voice acting is SO SO TERRIBLE. And there are WAY WAY WAY too may cutsceans.
Summary: Changed Review due to further game play. Does engage the mind into thinking but does drag a little. Lot of cut scenes. Good for those that like to keep their game slow and easy. Not a bad game overall.
The Da Vinci Code: Interesting but not as good as the book.

Excerpt: "...Violence. Can also be bought for the Xbox and PC. Can be bought new for £8.79 on amazon.co.uk and new or used for £5+ on ebay.co.uk There is not a multi player function. I'm a fan of the book version of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and semi enthusiastic over the movie which starred Tom Hanks, Ian Mckellen and Audrey Tautou so I was interested in the game version. I found this for only three pounds at cash converters so I bought it, thinking ...
Pros: Great voice acting, humorous npc dialogue, educational .
Cons: Not so great in - game graphics, linear storyline and difficult code puzzles .
Summary: This game is very difficult. It has lots of hard puzzles. The only way you can really complete this game is with a walkthrough. If you're a fan of action video games, then don't buy it. If you like puzzles and that sort of thing well then buy it. I've playeed worse games but this ranks in the middle of my ratings.
Excerpt: "The Da Vinci Code roles everything into one with combat, puzzles to solve, stealth to pull off and more. TRUTH TO MOVIE The game generally follows the storyline of the movie, there is some extra events added that could not have happened in the movie but the plot of the game and film are similar is most aspects. 4/5 COMBAT SYSTEM The combat system is very basic and uses a system of controls that would be more suited to a dance game (press ...
Pros: Fun puzzles, good graphics, good sound, hard to complete
Excerpt: "For any fan of the novel/movie, releasing a console game based on it would certainly put a couple of questions into your mind, questions like “what the hell are they thinking!”. When I first heard about the game I thought what a terrible idea and I really did think that the creators would’ve must have been working graveyard shifts just to bring the game up-to-par with the novel. I’m not going to give my opinion on the game just yet, but carry on reading ...
Summary: Loved the book and the movie - so the game was a must. My wife and I played this for hours - there is so much to do, puzzles, fighting, clue-hunting. Almost something for everyone. You do need to keep a pencil and paper handy to write a few clues from time to time but they are all available on screen. And the save points are only in certain places - but usually just after a hard section or solved puzzle.
