Summary: squaresoft needs to stick to rpgs only. All you do is watch a movies, fight for 2 minutes, then watch a movie again, and then 45 minutes later the game is over. And the fighting sucks too, you just mash buttons and get double teamed.
Summary: The graphics look really good in this game, and the gameplay is pretty good. The plot is decent I guess, but the thing that bothered me most was that the game was so short. I had it on a three day rental and beat the game in a night and a little less than a day of playing.

Summary: Boot-up of SquareSoft's The Bouncer shows that even a few short months after the Playstation 2 has become available, developers are making games that look great, meaning that even more great looking games are yet to come.
Excerpt: Back in high school, I once new a lad who fell for Sony's PS2 advertising on the most hilarious scale possible. I don't mean that the ads made him want a PS2, or even really want one, I mean he actually thought the console would change the world, and all that 'Emotion Engine' and 'Third Place' crap...
Excerpt: The Bouncer was easily one of the most talked about and hyped PS2 titles before it's release. Early video and pictures of it, looked graphically insane. The real time cinemas and in game graphics, were so good that it resembled high quality CGI video more then the typical polygons we were used to.
Summary: This game was nothing short of terrible. The graphics may be nice, and the opening scene is of the quality I would expect from Square but this is just a revamp of such games of Final Fight/Double Dragon.

Summary: Hmm, I thought...Interactive action movie. That sounds familiar. My mind thought about the horrors of FMV-based games. I grimaced. Then I looked at the game. It's a PS2 game- so it's revolutionary and brilliant, right? Better than all those other competitors, right?
Summary: I found the game play in this boring and repetive. Despite this the graphics are pleasing to the eye. When I bought my copy I was expecting something to rival the delights the classical "Streets of Rage". However, I found the controls arkward and the graphics surprisingly slow and jerky.
Summary: I'm glad I got this free with my PS2 because it's rubbish. Fair enough the graphics are nice and colourful, but it's about as much fun as Double Dragon on the Sinclair Spectrum to play! They've skimped big time on the gameplay. The moves are extremely limited and the game just has no sole.
