Summary: This is a great game. The time that it was released, during the early playstation two era, makes this game even more amazing considering it's quality. The graphics are better than almost any game that was released during the time. The sounds needed a little work, since they were very repetitive. After the 300th time you heard an enemy dieing from your stealth kill, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" got really annoying.

Summary: this is one of my favorite games for PS2. there is some storyline to this, but basically its just 'kill everyone in sight' (including those pesky dogs!) the controls for this game are easy to get to grips with and reasonbly versitile. perhaps the best bit of this game are the stelth kills, if you can get close to an enemy without being seen a short (3-5 second) video occors where you insantly kill them in a variety of different ways: ITS KOOL!
Excerpt: "This is based on the ancient Japanese story of two ninjas appointed by lord ghoda to fight the corrupt evil merchants are in the city. The two ninjas are of different sexes the male and the female. Rikumaru the male and ayame the female. WHAT ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THE TENCHU? Pros: NICE STORY SETTINGS, ENVIRONMENTS, STEALTH MOVES, CHARACTERS AND MODES TO CHOOSE .
Cons: CHARACTERS MOVEMNTS NOT THAT REALISTIC AND ONE SIDED .
Summary: THERE ARE VERY FEW GAMES OUT THERE THAT WARRANT PLAYING IT A FEW TIMES WITH THE NEW CHARACTERS IN STORY MODE. ESPECIALLY PLAYING IT IN A HARDER MODE -OR JUST PLAYING IT ONE MORE TIME... BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE ..THE BETTER YOU ARE AT NOT BEING SPOTTED , CAN GET YOU A GOOD RATING .AND WHAT DOES THAT DO FOR YOU YOU MAY ASK ?
Summary: Though MGS games have actual stealth too, I don't see how people compare Tenchu with Splinter Cell. I've played Splinter Cell and it's horrible. Where Splinter Cell is heavily scripted and forces the player to do everything in the exact way the developers wanted him to, Tenchu gives a greater freedom. Granted, Tenchu does not have the plot sophistication of Splinter Cell, it is also not a giant series of trial and error experiments like Splinter Cell.
Summary: I played a demo of Tenchu 3 and was hooked on it for good.I eventually got the game and was on it 24/7.The levels excellent in graphics, AI, techniques and weather effects.Main characters include:Rikimaru-a ninja, part of the deadly Azuma ninja clan. Rikimarus weapon of choice is his ninja Katana (Isayuzo).Ayame-a female ninja, like Rikimaru is part of the deadly Azuma clan.Ayames weapon of choice is her dual Wakizashis(small katanas).Ayame has both style, technique and...
