Summary: Some of the games on this game anthology are a blast. My favorites so far are Syvalion, Cameltry and Raimais. There appears to be something in here for everyone as it contains a wide variety of games made by Taito from 1979 to 1997. I haven't even played them all and already I'm having a blast. There's a maze/shooter in which you control a robot dragon to eliminate outer space enemies. There's a marble maze type of game.
Summary: As a fan of Old School games this totally ROCKS!!! I don't care about what other so-called "gamers" say about this. They either haven't played this, or aren't a fan of Old School games, or both! Speaking of experience, these games may not LOOK like much but they are just as challenging as normal games! This is DEFINATELY worth every penny you pay for it! Amoung my favorites, is Dungeon Magic. A true RPG lover's game!
Summary: Like the first Taito Legends, this is a treasure chest of goodies from the 80s and 90s. Topping our favorites is The Fairyland Story - a Mario Bros. knockoff in which Ptolemy the little red witch hops about on platforms turning her enemies into cakes while avoiding a giant caterpillar. Luckily you have unlimited "coins" to keep continuing your game; I'm stuck on Level 75 so far.
Summary: This collection of games is truly magnificient. Every game looks wonderful and faithfully perfected from the arcade! Great collection of brawlers, platformers, shooters, and puzzles. Many games are obvious rip offs from final fight, ghost and goblins, etc... Capcom games. However Taito does a good job making new flavors. Overall a MUST BUY TREASURE for all classic gamers and people who like good games! One of the BEST game for PS2!!
Summary: When gauging the authenticity of a collection of classic arcade games, every little detail counts. Many other collections have chosen to eliminate the "insert coin" graphics that is so familiar for all arcade dwellers. Given everything else being done right, that last touch makes the experience complete. Taito's LEGENDS 2 is one of my top favorite arcade collections. Unlike SNK's fighter-heavy compilation, Taito's is loaded with classic Shoot-em-ups.
Summary: I bought this for the two Darius titles. Both alone make this collection worth the price. However there are about a dozen other side scrolling shooter games in this collections that are worth a look too.
Summary: This title is amazing, and an amazing value. It has five puzzle games, some old school ultra-hard simple vintage games, great side scrolling shooters, adventure games, and some fun weird stuff you've never heard of. (Try getting better than 'very fine' in Balloon Bomber if you want difficult times.) It is better than the Namco Museum 50th Anniversary because you are allowed to continue after game over. It may be tough, but you can put in another coin.
Summary: I'm very pleased overall with this collection. Much fun to be had here, even though many of the titles were rare in the US when they were current. If you are into old-school gaming, this is a must-have. And the Amazon price is unbeatable.
