Not very fun...
8 January 2009
Summary: I was expecting a fun filled adventure but it was tedious and plain. I got bored with it after one day. I thought it would be a good game for my girlfriend and I to play together but it was disappointing. It might be good for little kids though.
Summary: Sega have taken two Gamecube classics and completely ruined them. OK so you have all the levels and more and all the Mini-games to boot, but on the PS2 it just doesn't work. My biggest gripe is the loading of levels, on the GC the gameplay just flowed seamlessly and you didn't even notice the loading at all. But now when you play the PS2 version it becomes more than noticeable, it becomes downright annoying.
Summary: What a dissapointment! After owning both Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 on the Gamecube I was eager to purchase a copy for the PS2. To tell you the truth, I can't play the PS2 version, it is slow to load with poor pixel quality and refresh rates whilst playing and generally very annoying after playing the excellent Cube versions. Take my advice and purchase a second hand cube and a cut price copy of SMB 2, this will guarantee that you won't be dissapointed.
