Summoner2

naughty23dog, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: A really great RPG with a brilliant storyline and quite good graphics for 2002. You play as Maia the goddess Laharah reborn, and your quest is to heal the tree of Elleh. Along the way your team will grow and you will have the ability to choose your party on each mission. If you are a lover of katanas and assasination you will pick Sangaril a munari assasin, or if you love martial arts you will choose Neru the pirate of Teomura etc.

An action RPG with good story.

  • Summary: I loved the summoner beatifull story and when you think it ended well suprise it started all over it seems. The Summoner 2 was not what I expected at all there are a lot of little quests you can play like trying to open a shop, problem is that a merchant won't let you. Idea is to make him let you open that shop. This will give you a nice income. Another great feat about this game is that it is one of the few true RPG's who are not turn based.

I can't believe it's over!!!!

  • Summary: I bought the first Summoner game and loved it, so I was looking forward to Summoner 2. Well, I really enjoyed Summoner 2 as well, except for the fact it's already over! Never have I completed an RPG in so short a time. I even embarked on several side quests, and I was NOT up all night playing this game! At least the game has replay value, due to all the side-quests. However, I was disappointed to discover you can only re-play the game with your ... "newbie" stats.

Good Game With Minor Flaws 4.5 Stars.

  • Summary: this is a great rpg it has a few flaws but nothing to cry over the begining is action packed and finds you figthing for your life. Real time combat is a plus for any rpg this game has fairly good graphics {not FFX quality} but still good. the gameplay is good and the story is off the chart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not to brag but I am the rpg master and this almost almost topped FFX. Legaia 2 and Suikoden 3 are the only games that could top this awesome game.

An actual review!

  • Summary: Well, unlike most the other reviewers, I will try to actually review the game, not just say "it wasn't that good" and give it one star. I played the first Summoner, and thought it was OK at best. My favorite thing about the first one was the movie you got after beating it. Coming from Sommoner, you will be in somewhat familiar teritory. You are no longer a summoner -- and you are no longer a peasant starting off like you were with Joseph.

A vast improvement

amazon.co.uk
9 November 2002
  • Summary: The first game was really disappointing for me but when I played the this one I wasn't disappointed. You as a fighter ,summuner and healer and being a queen of halassar take your friends to walk around the world. People know you as a god reborn who creates the world and you find runes to become stronger and summoner your self to giants. This game has a pretty complex story and fun game play.Controls are pretty good and the magic system is pretty cool.

Proof that RPGs can be fun

"danforinton", amazon.co.uk
6 November 2002
  • Summary: ... Playing the game is fairly easy - the controls are sensibly organised and useful shortcuts are provided - switching characters is a button-press, selecting abilities and inventory items is on a quick menu, and a extremely useful lock-on facility is provided. The game plays from a fairly standard third person point of view, with a camera controllable from the right analogue stick.

Aki Norev "Hummelchen", Amazon
