My favorite title from an extremely well-made series of games!

Summary: I could type on-and-on about this game all night! I was one of the few fortunate enough to pick this game up when it first came out, and I haven't truly put it down since. I've been playing all of the Suikoden titles faithfully since my brother and I found the first Suikoden hanging on a little video-game rack at our local CVS years and years ago. If you hold any joy for playing Role-Playing Games at all, I highly encourage you to try Suikoden 1-5 and Suikoden Tactics.
Summary: This game is fun. It's really really deep as far as character development and options to your play style. Playing this game definitely got me hooked on the Suikoden series. The map battles remind me of Shining Force.....oh how I miss you.
Summary: I loved this game. The rotating storylines made for an interesting and new way of experiencing the points of view on different sides of the same war, and how incomplete information can lead to radically different conclusions. The three main characters and their starting companions are all very well developed, and really showcase the cultural differences and perceptions from the different factions.
Summary: I'm not a pro writer....I loved this game. After playing Suikoden I,i was hooked.tried to get Suikoden II,but won't pay 130 bucks for it.Graphics are terrific.Storyline is very good.Big battle sequences are more confusing then the first game.Loved the treasure chest guardian battles. The Suikoden games will be right up there with the F.F. Series,in my opinion.Avery rnjoyable game for any RPG lovers.RPG Gramps.
If it didn't have a good story this game would suck really bad.

Summary: I'm about 40 hours in to the game. Graphics are HORRIBLE, you have to read ALL the dialog, there is no dubbing of any kind...The areas you explore are linear.....a 5 year old could navigate these areas. Whoever developed the maps should get fired. The story is excellent, but they make you go through it 3 times! Gets boring. This is one of those games that I had to put down and come back to out of boredom. I would not reccamend this game to anybody...
Excerpt: Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! -William Blake, "Jerusalem" Hugo, son of a Karayan chieftain; Chris Lightfellow, a Zexen knight; and Geddoe, a Harmonian mercenary, all hear rumors that the Flame Champion and his followers, the Fire Bringer, have reappeared in the Grasslands after defeating the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia half a century before.
Summary: Pros: Good story, memorable characters, decent music, good battle system, multiple protagonists, very satisfying Cons: Graphics aren't spectacular, slow start, random battle systems are outmoded, connector-maps are tedious Other thoughts: Sure, the graphics aren't great, random battles are irritating, and having to go through the same pointless maps over and over again to travel the map sucks. But this game will thoroughly please any Suikoden fan.
