Excerpt: I found this abrilliant game and was forever entertaining me. In this game you play as a stuntman for many different movies and the idea of the game is to complete all of the stunts that are set by following the directors exact instructions. This game was quite challenging and i found that it was quite hard to do some of the stunts.
Pros: Good gameplay, good timespan, good storyline, good variation of game modes
Cons: Graphics could have been better, could have made checkpoints in the game
Excerpt: -(Game Information)- Name:Stuntman Publisher:Atari Developer:Reflections Genre :Mission-based driving Release Date:Sep 6, 2002 Age Rating:11+ for smashes and crashes Number Of Players:1 Online:No Publisher Site:www.uk.atari.com/index.php Memory Card Usage:766KB -(History)- Atari are the famous publishers of series like the Dragon Ball Z games and Driver. Pros: Excellent physics engine; unqiue gameplay is challenging, though rewarding; good graphics with pretty looking CG cutscenes; great music and effects; excellent car handling .
Cons: Very, very steep learning curve; some graphical blemishies; the director can get annoying; long, long load time; no online or split - screen multiplayer .
Excerpt: For Christmas 2005 one of the games on my Christmas wish list was Stuntman and thanks to my partner I was lucky or as I can say now I have played the game Unlucky enough to receive it. *** The Creators *** Stuntman is created by Atari games and Reflections Interactive. These are the people who made the series of Driver games.
Pros: You get to smash up cars without hurting yourself !
Excerpt: stuntman is a game which consists of you taking place in a load of movies where you have to do specific stunts such as 180 degree turns and barrel rolls. This game is very good as you get to take place in many different movies and play them in many different cars. It also has a part in the game where you take part in competitions to win big money.
Excerpt: Its one of those boyhood dreams; “I want to be a stuntman.” But by the time you’ve grown up you realize it’s not something your physically or mentally capable of, so you decide to get something almost as good, a computer game where you play as a stuntman! Stuntman was released in 2001 by Atari, and was a very successful game shifting a-lot of copies.
Pros: Fresh and original ideas, longevitiy is good
Cons: gameplay and car handling is poor, loading screens ! ! !
Excerpt: I know it's called Stuntman, but really it should say "Car Stuntman", as you don't do any other kind of stunt, but never mind! This game is made by the creators of Driver, so straight away you can be sure of the same - if not better gameplay, and let's face it, Driver was a goood game! But I'm not here to talk about Driver, I'm here to tell you about Stuntman, so let's get started.
Excerpt: Hands up if you own any driving games for your console or PC. OK, most of you. Hands up if you've ever just given up on racing and turned round into oncoming traffic to see what damage you can do or perhaps you've just veered off into the scenery and started looking for something to jump the car off. Come on, don't be shy, surely I'm not the only one! Ok then, different example. Gran Turismo 3.
Pros: Has that magic Just - One - More - Go appeal, very good graphics
Cons: Frustrating, occasional confusion as to objectives and route, did I mention it was frustrating?
Excerpt: Stuntman… One of the most anticipated driving games to hit the Play Station 2. Unique, New, Bold, Long, Drawn out and very repetitive. As you can see I have very mixed feelings about this game, whilst its originality and fantastic graphics boast all the wonders of modern game play, it lacks any real finesse when played for any length of time. WHAT IS IT?
Pros: Very original, and home to a variety of never before seen features .
Cons: Perhaps the introduction of an Americas most wanted style chase would make it more enthralling, lets start little, how about a save option guys?
Excerpt: I so very much wanted to love this game. It takes such a good premise - the world of the stuntman; it comes with impeccable credentials - from Reflections, the developers of Driver and Driver 2, two of the best driving games on the original Playstation; the subequent release of Grand Theft Auto meant that many of the ideas from that game could be incorporated. And yet...and yet. It's fun, but ultimately frustrating in a way that tained my enjoyment of it. Here's why.
Summary: Stuntman gets points for being an original idea, but unfortunately the game itself doesn't live up to the possibilities. In the game, you play the role of a stuntman who works on several different films and also performs in stadium stunt shows. The stunts themselves involve piloting a variety of vehicles (including cars and snowmobiles) through stunt courses.
