Summary: I made the huge mistake of buing SRS. The cut-scenes are pretty good, but the game itself sucks. First off, the gameplay graphics aren't all the great, considering when it came out. Your car looks completely fake. Also, the game's controls are incredibly annoying. The cars don't turn fast enough, and the car almost always has a late response. Not to mention the annoying barriers when you're racing.
Summary: Maybe im being a little harsh, but i think about the only thing i give this game is the graphics, and being able to customize your car......sort of! I've had the game since christmas, and i've played it only a few times, mostly b/c i've gotten too frustrated when i end up losing races and have double the horsepower and speed that my competition has. The problem: Almost every car i've tried to drive either turns too little, or too much.
Summary: How many more are there gonna be before the game developers give up on this subject. Graphics, 4.0. The cars and tracks don't look too bad. Damage models limit the quality on the cars. And I did notice a few graphical glitches on the tracks. The sense of speed isn't there until you hit the nitro. Sound, 3.0. Engine and tire notes are standard fare. The soundtrack is mostly rap, not my thing. Control, 4.0.
Summary: Now when we all look at this game we think oh just another racing game to take my time away... WRONG. once you pop this game into your PS2 and start playing it you start to feel as if you are a street racer. the point of this game of course is racing but thats not the only thing. you have to worry about getting a girlfreind and racing but its hard to keep up on both things because if you were to race rather then hang out with your girlfriend she will not trust you as...
Those customization car upgrades would be terrific for NFS

Summary: I know this is a good game to play. I think the car upgrades are terrific for Need For Speed because this and Need For Speed would make a combined combo call Need For Speed Street Racing Syndicate. I think the police cars including the Ford Crown Victoria as an idea for car upgrades including the transmission should be a terrific idea for this new creative game I came up with. Think about this new idea inclunding upgrading various police cars.
Summary: I was in a game shop looking for need for speed underground, and they didn't have it because it was an old game then I came across this game and decided to try it, much to my amazement that it is a lot better than NFS Underground. The graphics are brilliant, theres lots of variation of where you race, the cars are good.
Summary: I do enjoy this game in a lot of ways, but it's also a bit of a let-down in others. First the negatives : The selection of cars is weak at best. Yes, there are over 50 cars in the game, granted, but most of these are different variations of one another. That's fine if you're playing GT4 or something, but for a street racing game, one version per model would have been fine. Gameplay. You do get used to it.
