Summary: Bought this game for my brother as a gift and he absolutely loves it. Keeps him entertained. Apparently it is a few games rolled into one. Thanks for the speedy delivery. I needed it at a certain date and it arrived on the day needed.
Well worth the budget price for arcade perfection.

Excerpt: Although many people complain of Capcom releasing endless versions of their Street Fighter franchise, alot of people seem to miss the point that earlier releases are not arcade perfect, something that the fighting game community insist on. So, Capcom did the unthinkable and released this Anthology, not only with the original Alpha games and Pocket Fighter, but also with a remixed Hyper Alpha version incorporating all the characters, with brand new moves and grooves!
Excerpt: For many years Capcom have been churning out Streetfighter games but many of them were just gameplay tweaks to an existing game engine in order to produce Streetfighter 2, Streetfighter 2 Championship edition and so on. Streetfighter Alpha was a whole new project set before Streetfighter 2 and introducing loads of new characters. Old favourites Ryu, Ken and Chun Li were joined by Nash who is an old friend of Guile's.
Summary: I was a huge fan of Street Fighter II back in the day (on the Mega Drive and arcade) and I thought I had mastered Street Fighter so I hung up my joypad a while back. Then I played this game. Better then arcade (or chip shop -if you were like me ;-) graphics and flawless gameplay. The CPU opponent is extremely smart and if you stick a memory card in your PS2 the game seems to remember what tactics you use and it adapts its style to counter them each time you play!
Summary: As a long-time Street Fighter fanatic, this compilation of classic games from the Alpha series and the additional Pocket Fighter was of course an immediate must-have for me, but nonetheless I am a little surprised that even viewed objectively, this collection still stands the test of time magnificently.
