Summary: I received this game as a gift for my birthday in November of 2001, along with METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SONS OF LIBERTY. I completed the first mission and quickly fell out of it. The game sat on my shelf, un-played, until November of 2003 - two full years later. The only reason that I picked it up again was so I could properly beat it and put it to bed once and for all.
Summary: This game is one of the best flying games in the world! It's always fun to play when I'm bored. About 15 missions with 3 pilots to battle your way to save Naboo from the Trade Federation. The great graphics and many bad guys are cool. This is like real life. The last level is the best where you and your team battle with at least 40 bad guys flying everywhere in space. If you like Star Wars or any type of flying game then this is for you!
Summary: This game is well made. It has good graphics and gameplay. There are even a FEW missions which can be played 2 player. However, the new Jedi Starfighter game is twice as fun, and you can play all the missions 2 player on it. If you own neither one I suggest skipping this one and going right for Jedi Starfighter.
Summary: I bought this game hoping it would be like the old tie-fighter game for the PC. The gameplay very much is, the effects are good, I haven't had problems with the controls that many others have, however the game quality falls apart because of its shortness. It took me 3-4 hours to finish the game. That's it. It's over. Tie-fighter took me probably 25 hours (a rough estimate - it's been a while). I've been playing GT3 for almost 2 months and am not 50% finished it yet!
Summary: Weell, overall, its a great game. Graphics and gameplay are exceptional, and its quite reallistic. The variaty of the different characters, their ships, their fighting strategies, attitudes, reflect on who they are. Nym- a ... space pirate-big guns, heavy missiles, bad attitude. Vana Sage- mercenary for hire- packing nano missiles, tagging blasters, superior handling, menuveribility, speed, and a biiig rack'o' lamb.
Summary: This game truly captures the action and elegance all associated with Star Wars Episode I. The game graphics being some of the first that I ever saw for playstation II were spectacular in their own right and to this day after having owned a PS II for several months now, I still have yet to see graphics that match the real thing this closely. And then the gameplay is just as vivid as the actual graphics themselves.
Summary: This is a great game! Original story line, intuitive playability, beautiful graphics, and well thought out animation sequences. The only gripe I've got is the same I've got with all my other Lucas Arts titles (Rogue Squadron, Tie Fighter, Shadows of the Empire) NO MULTIPLAYER!! Why can't we dogfight with a friend, or make the attack on the droid control ship with a wingman?
Summary: When I bought this game I saw how great all the reviews were. Since I was a mediocre Star Wars fan I went ahead and purchased it. The graphics are amazing but the first few levels are extremely boring. All they really do is get you used to the controls and I pretty much got them down after the first level.
Summary: I have always been a big fan of Lucas Arts' X-wing and Tie Fighter games so when I heard they were making a game for the playstation 2 I reserved my copy. I was a little disappointed at first and if your expecting this to be X-wing for the PS2 you will be too. However, that being said I think that Starfighter is a good game. The graphics are spectacular and the storyline and movie sceens are entertaining.
Summary: This is a great game. It has great graphics, except for the occansional fogging in the background. The music is fantastic, classic Star Wars tunes. The only thing I can think of that is somewhat difficult are the different screens that you get when you are in one of the three different ships. But that isn't that hard to get used to. This is classic Star Wars material.
