Conclusion: I think this is just about the best Star Wars game I have played. Having said that, the competition isn't up to much. I expected it to be a game in which you control an entire group of people but in actual fact you essentially just control one person. There's not too much wrong with it but you can play an entire level without actually seeing much action. There's a feeling that you often don't have much influence on the action.
Excerpt: Once upon a time, in the galaxy that we live in, there used to be something very, very special. These were known to the world as Star Wars games. Oh yes they still appear these days but in all honest, quite a few of these titles are just not worth the time of day for one reason or another. Let's try and forget Star Wars Episode III shall we?
Excerpt: "...to use based on the Star Wars franchise. But, after a while this game really does get tiring. It's a very easy game, and there isnt much to do other than Historical battles. If you are playing this multi-player then it is a bit more fun, but on your own... it isn't so good. In all fairness though, you should give this game a chance, especially if you are a big Star Wars fan. Don't let the 'Shooting' genre fool you, it is much more than that. You ...
Pros: Mindless violence ! ! And it isn't your typical shooting game - There's a lot more to it .
Cons: After a while - It gets very boring and it's kind of pointless, no real meaning to what you are doing . . .
Summary: its vry good. But a bit well samey. I thought it was better than 3, but then i bought battlefront2 off play.com and i realised that i had been fooled. The storline is good, the missions excellent, but no sith or Jedi. (I love playing as sith)Buy no. 2 not this one!
Excerpt: When this first came out, I was not that excited about it but the more I saw it around, the more interested I was. I finally got the game second-hand and boy was it worth it! Great things about the game are: Action- There is never a dull moment in the battles! From ewoks firing arrows at heavily armoured stormtroopers to flying rebel starfighters, you are always in the thick of it which is great until you realise that an enemy is behind you firing at your head.
Summary: I was toying with the idea of wanting to buy this game very much but as soon as i rented it and put it in my machine, i knew it wasn't the game i wanted. The graphics aren't as good as GTA San andreas but if you don't mind it sort of blurry then that's ok. The controls for the vehicles are confusing and you need to get your head aroud them. So far i haven't been able to pick up anyone elses fallen gun so i am dissapointed at that.
Summary: Graphically impressive, gameplay OK, lifespan very short. That's my summary, a game both my son and I had awaited with much trepidation only to be somewhat disappointed with how easy it was to complete even on the more difficult settings. Having played star wars games such as Bombad Racing ( fun in a mario kart way ), Tie-Fighter ( incredible at the time ) and Jedi Knight II. I have to say this only really beats Bombad racing.
Excerpt: "Im a huge Star Wars fan and seeing battlefront rushed out to buy it along with the DVD boxset of the original trilogy. The Game The Star Wars game is immediately enjoyable and offers many characters to play as. In single player you enter Galactic Conquest mode where you basically go round planets and fight battles, if you win you get an upgrade for your army but what dissapointed me mose was I couldnt play as a jedi they're NPCs that appear after ...
Excerpt: "...£15 pounds unless you're a Star Wars nut and must have it now. This game been given varying ratings by PS2 mags. Clearly the ones who played it once gave it full marks. Those who looked a little deeper realised it follows in the suit of other Star Wars games that have not matched up to the films. I paid full price for this game (£39.99). I wish upon a Death Star that I'd have waited and saved my money. I have based my rating on my opinion after ...
