4.5 Stars. A frustrating, controller-smashing, yet fun and oh-so-satisfying experience.

Summary: The Star Ocean series is sort of a Star Trek meets Final Fantasy kind of experience, mixing laser guns with swords. The first 3D game (not in the new sense of the word meaning that it has depth, but in the old sense that it has polygons)in the franchise manages to still hold up well to this day; it's much better than some of the JRPG's for newer consoles. GRAPHICS: It seems like yesterday when the PS2's graphics were mind-blowing. Not any more.
Summary: Star Ocean is an awesome game. It has good graphics, great game play, and an interesting storyline. I love how it allows you to participate in both single player and multiplayer game play. The character's are like real people, and their stories really hold your attention. I didn't get to finish it because I lent it to a friend, but I can't wait to start playing again.
Summary: Over all I have to say this was the best Star Ocean out off all of the first and the second star Ocean on the regular playstation console. I mean first the game starts off as the main character got sucked in playing some fighting simulations then he gets transported to another world meet new friends reunite with the girl of his dreams then save themselves and the entire humanity itself. I have to say I give this game a 5 out of 5. The special effects are incredible.
Summary: This is one of the best RPG games I ever played. The story line is cool, the characters are tolarable, and the battles are fast pase. They werent messing around when they say Till the End of Time, I have over 280 hours of gameplay according to the game timer and still haven't beat it because there is just so much stuff.
Summary: The game is very enjoyable. But I would only recommend this to true RPG gamers, as its only for hardcore RPG-lovers. I say that because the game is old and somewhat outdated. But it is unique and once you get into it, it's very hard to put the controller down. If I was to give the game a rating back when it first came out (2003-04), it would have gotten a 10.
Summary: PROS: Fun and challenging combat Great graphics Decent voicework Plenty of customization GREAT Story (some hate it, some love it) Fun Item Creation CONS: Voicework may be decent, but that doesn't mean it isn't annoying sometimes Can't hit enemies while they're knocked down Spells can be intereupted easily Fayt's backstory never really gets explored after a certain point
Summary: this is the hands down best game made for the ps2. when this game is over, you will have dreams about it for weeks. get the guide with it. you'll need it. the full game is twice as long as the main story. i put in about 200 hours in it.
There are no word to express what I thought of this game

Summary: I would rank this as one of the top 10 games for PS2 - the story had a lot of depth behind it - you would never know what happen the next chapter. Game play is not hard, and there are many sidequests and item creation that let you make a wide variety of items (it is never one hundred percent created from one item to another and you need to recruit characters to make the right combine of characters to create the item.
