Spy Fiction

swapgame
22 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Spy Fiction brings stealth out of the shadows with an arsenal of all-new weapons and devices designed to keep the action in high gear. As elite Phantom Strike Force operatives, players balance stealth and firepower as they try to neutralise a terrorist organisation with operations around the world. The game features a dynamic identity theft system, allowing players to assume the apearance of any character they may encounter in the game.

Game Freaks 365
10 May 2005
  • Excerpt: The stealth genre is in high commodity. There’s a surplus of spy games, ridden with gadgets, gizmos, and sneaking. Where Metal Gear Solid required you to try, and try again, Splinter Cell gave you an open-endedness that has yet to be matched by other games in the stealth genre. Spy Fiction falls in the middle of both worlds.

  • Excerpt: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But it is usually a pale imitation that flatters most genres in the videogame industry.

Spy Fiction

Playstation Illustrated
10 February 2005
  • Excerpt: Spy Fiction puts you in the combat boots of two high-tech and super sneaky spies; Billy Bishop and Sheila Crawford belong to the espionage organization "Phantom." The graphics of Spy Fiction were better than average -- they really shined in this game. And the wide variety of character models did a great deal to sell this game to me. The graphics of the cutscenes were also spectacular, and it was obvious that a lot of time went into making and animating these models.

The Next Level
21 October 2004
  • Excerpt: The two selectable heroes of Spy Fiction are a 25-year-old spiky-haired, smooth-faced guy and an 18-year-old blonde woman with an even smoother, blanker expression. The brilliant scientist they have to save along the way looks like she should be off somewhere watching some sappy teen melodrama or sending text messages to her high school classmates. ("Ohmigod! I just discovered this killer virus. Like, literally!

Spy Fiction

The Armchair Empire
18 October 2004
  • Conclusion: game, other than a silly execution involving a crucifix at the beginning of the game, which is almost worth playing the game for. There are two characters to play as: Billy, the spy with the ridiciulous spiky hair, or Sheila, the blond with the slick-backed hair. Other than determining the gender of whatever rock hard body you'll be looking at throughout the game, your choice also minorly affects the paths in certain levels.

Spy Fiction

GamersHell.com
10 June 2004
  • Excerpt: Most action-oriented games, especially those involving spies, have a hard time distinguishing themselves as a unique product. Spy Fiction, another entry in the genre, does nothing more than re-create something we have already seen. This unfortunately makes Spy Fiction only a decent game; which if you were going to buy it’d be worth budget title prices at best. Still, the game manages to have its positive moments despite how easy, yet frustrating it could be.
