Summary: You've seen Spider-Man 2 on the big screen, now be him on your screen. It's Spider-Man as you never seen him before. He a free roaming in New York City. Story - 4.0 It based on the movie's storyline in Spider-Man 2 but with more to do. Spider-Man patrols the city from saving citizens to stopping robbers while living a normal life. It seems like Spider-Man never sleeps.
Summary: Fun game...but after a while, it's the same thing over and over again...save people hanging on ledges, stop car robberies, and beat up gang members. It's fun...but more of a rental game...you can finish the game in a day.
Summary: Spiderman2 looks really cool and it is great, as others have noted, to swing around the city but once that gets old the game is kind of boring. The missions are very repetitive and just can't hold your interest for very long. It is defintely worth a rental for any Spidey fans or anyone who likes Bruce Campbell. His voice in the training mode is great fun!
Summary: Graphics Resolution is good; you can see a good amount of NYC landscape in the distance. But it looks like it was made using the same engine from GTA. It's not bad, but it's not pushing any of the Gamecube's hardware. Controls Now, this is where I have my gripes. The fighting controls are next to imposable. In fact, I don't ever recall being able to pull off a combo.
Summary: Spider-Man's new web slinging and fighting techniques are not enough to bring much fun to such a short and repetative game. The graphics are abolutely aweful except during the cinematics that occur only 2 or 3 times during the game. The mouths of the people on the street don't even move. I thought this was PS2, not PSone. Missions are done over and over again to complete "chapters", which are basically pointless. I beat the game in seven hours.
Summary: Spider-Man 2 is probably one of the best super hero games out now,but it still has some major flaws. The first thing you notice during the first 30 or so minutes of playing this game is the freedom you get,and how well the game gets the feel of being Spider-Man down. You then start to progress through the game, racing through the city, fighting crooks, and hunting down cars in police chases.

Excerpt: "This is the second game taken from the second film of the classic superhero Spiderman. This game sees you swinging from rooftop to rooftop, diving from the top of skyscrapers, smashing you way through you opponents with a variety of had-to-hand combos, you can even suspend your enemies from lamposts using your web!! This game has alot of nice features like the ability to go anywhere you want in this massive city, the ability to do extra missions ...
Excerpt: "Spiderman 2 was recently released on the PS2 around the month of June to be exact. I thought I'd try something different for my PS2 so I went out to my local Tesco to purchase the game. The game boasts "absoloute freedom" and to an extent that's right. It's great to swing about Manhattan between buildings and saving the city. But lets be realiastic it's not as fun as driving a car for instance or shooting a bunch of hapless goons. This is what makes ...
Pros: The best "superhero" title on PS2
Cons: Gameplay is very repetitive and things like swinging don't feel right
