Sometimes You have to Scrach your head

  • Summary: The Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a an ok-ok game. To start off they really need some voice actors in the game. They just have the charactors move thier lips and captions are below for you to read. Next thing they need more save "statues" or you can be able to save by yourself because when you get a "GAME OVER" usally you start back 30 minutes from the last time you saved which can be very frustating. The good thing about this game is that there is very good graphics.

Great idea marred by one glaring flaw:lack of saves

  • Summary: This is a good idea for a game with almost perfect execution and some amazing graphics with one glaring problem: In an effort to challenge long-time gamers who blow through their games in a week, this title let's you save too infrequently as incentive to perform well along the way. What could be more frustrating, especially in the initial hours of gameplay when you're trying to figure it all out? Ugh.

Mummy, Help Me!

  • Excerpt: Based on the legends of Ancient Egypt, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is very cartoon-orientated as far as visuals go, with striking Hollywood-style cinematics. The story follows a surly, brawny youngster named Sphinx and his comical and immensely lovable friend, the Mummy. Sphinx is a demigod in possession of a range of weapons he hopes to use to defeat the bad guy - named Set - and win back the stolen crowns of his homeland.
  • Pros: Comic elements, challenging, great visuals
  • Cons: Prolonged dialogue sequences

  • Excerpt: I am not an avid ps2 enthusiast like my husband as I am not very skilled at actually using the controller without moving my hands with it or moving my head to look round corners, but this game was excellent it took me a while to play but I completed it myself and found the puzzles relative easy to solve( not as hard as what i have seen on any of the tombraider games).
  • Pros: excellent for beginners/children
  • Cons: control of the mummy at times

  • Excerpt: Once again I was in choices on the brink of renting a game out for a silly price. But when looking at the shelves of games I noticed that they sold pre-owned games, after much deliberation and searching I came across this game, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. I had a good idea of what the game was about because I had played a demo a few years back. ***Gameplay*** You play two different characters in this game a Sphinx and Tutenkamen.
  • Pros: Good value for money and will certainly challenge any brain
  • Cons: Dodgy camera angles

  • Excerpt: Having been ill and off work I desperately needed something to fill my hours. Whilst checking out games in one of my local outlets I came across "SPHINX AND THE CURSED MUMMY". Having played various titles such as the Crash Bandicoot range and knowing that Eurocom assisted in making this game, I knew , I had to give the sphinx my undivided attention! So lets start at the very begining ....... The Characters. There are two main characters.
  • Pros: can be addictive,challenging,entertaining .
  • Cons: for some visual prompts rather than spoken word maybe off putting

Warum?
