Excerpt: "I was recently given this game by a friend who was having a clear out. I am still undecided on the game as there are a lot of both good and bad points about the game which is why I've sat on the fence and gone for the 3 stars! The game is for Playstation 2 and is for players aged 16 and over. You will need 180kb free on your memory card to save this game. Pros: Some good levels
Cons: Graphics and levels are too long without a save point
Summary: this game is very linear. it does this because it wants it's players to lie in wait and stalk their enemies. no save feature. single player greatly hampered by lack of headset. unfortunately with only a four man squad the size of the engagements is quite limited and obstacles are often overcome by simply pouring firepower into the charging enemies. the greatest challenge lies in dealing with CQB and the dualshock controller.
Summary: Socom 2 is definitly better with the headset, but even so, this game is pretty cool. The missions are hard and most of the time you don't know what the next objective is. If you're not an expearenced gamer at shooting games then this is not for you. One good thing is, you can select a command to give to your squad. Also, the weapons are cool, and there are a big veriety of them.
Summary: Ok after I've played both single and online versions, I have to say this game is biased in favor of seals. For single version, the AIs are wussies and zombies, and I've killed about 16 men in 2 mins. They will only fire at you after 2-3 secs, and I can kick their collective a$$es easily. For online version, it still favors seals. Y? Because it assigns the loudest weapons to the terrorists.
