Summary: I've only played the 1st socom game and the 4th socom game, all great games. Now the reason it is an inprovment is you can choose your difficulty level, you get checkpoint and you get, diffrent teamates for each location, and level selection.None of which are in the 1st socom game. Command are easier to give and you health bar allows you to actually see how much more you have compared to the colared dot there is in the 1st game.
Summary: This game was so fun to play, the missions were fun & challenging but not too difficult and the graphics were just fantastic. And I really love the main theme music. Yes, there are some glitches as others have pointed out, but it isn't anything that would keep you from completing the game or any particular mission.
Summary: I am a campaign player, and have never tried the online element of this game. With that in mind, this is my review: One thing about the AI that has improved from the previous game is that your team actually runs away to take cover when you place a C4 charge or place a Satchel on the ground. That's amazing common sense added to the teammates. But just as Zipper added that trait, something must be taken away, and that was AIM.
Great Game!Except one big problem that occurs in every socom game...

Summary: Dont get me wrong Socom 3 is a must buy. Single player is fun but online is simply awesome. The only complaint I have is somthing that has occured in every socom so far, the dumb A.I. I mean really it gets annoying sometimes. For example when you are driving a veichle, you can order your bravo team to drive in a seperate veichle.
Summary: Socom 3 as you all know is the sequel to Socom II. They have improved the gameplay somewhat and the Single Player is funner in this game than Socom II. When you go online and register a name, they ask you for a credit card number to get a rank, stats, friends list, etc. What the heck! Oh Well. Another bad thing is that there is no maps from Socom II which was disappointing. All the maps in Socom 3 are from the Single Player Missions.
Summary: In a word SOCOM 3 is "different" than I expected. I felt like an expansion of SOCOM 2 was going to be released....but I was wrong. SOCOM 3 has been completely re-tooled and I feel that this is still the perfect game to take online. I've heard people moaning about how there are no small maps, or each round takes to long...well if you wanted SOCOM 2 then play SOCOM 2.
