Summary: I rented this game and it was really fun and exciting at first but then all of a sudden I beat the game. It is really short so if you are one of those people that likes to drive cars and jeeps off road then this is the game for you.
Summary: At first look, I pictured Smugglers Run to be a action fun filled game, as soon as it loaded I knew I was wrong. The graphics are PS1 caliber, there is no plot to the game (in contrast to the backcover), and it is not "fun". I felted cheated... You can not compare this game to any other PS2 game I own. I was truely disappointed.
Summary: The basic idea is cool, the point being that you are freelancing for some criminal organization running contraband across the border while competing against cops and other organizations. It's finally something new to the basic speeding/car-racing genre I love so much. The problem is that all the skills I've developed in other racing games are pointless here..
Summary: This game definitely gets boring after a while. Yes, the graphics are pretty good, but a game has to be good all around in order to be enjoyable, and this game just doesn't have it. It would have been a little better if the other vehicles didn't always come from exactly the same places and at the same times each time you start a level over, because it gets to be pretty predictable.
Summary: First off, this game suffers from some of the worst slow down I have seen so far on the PS2. Absolutely disgraceful, and unforgivable, considering the power of the PS2! The graphics "do". Nothing special for the PS2. The sounds ditto. Gameplay is very simple. Depending on the mode of play, you either collect a package before someone else, or you collect a package and deliver it before being arrested. To achieve your smuggling, you select a vehicle.
Excerpt: "There are two types of Gamer in my opinion. Those that own several games and play a different one each hour, or those like I who buy a game, play it to its death and then buy another. Smugglers Run was a gift from my loved one and probably not what I would have chosen. Initially I was incredibly impressed by the graphics the PS2 generated - The terrain scrolls smoothly, the sound is excellent and the vibrate feature of the joypad responds realistically ...

Summary: I can't believe that anyone not connected with the production of this game could possibly give it a positive review; it looks rubbish, the cars handle badly, and the game itself is very, very boring. The cars themselves would be considered poor looking on an original Playstation. And although the landscape does look good, 'being able to drive anywhere' is not much of a bonus if there's absolutely nothing to do; apart from driving (in the Joyride game), or following the...
